We have a similar issue in Denver with the influx of marijuana money and companies not being able to put all that cash in the bank. Lot of companies realized if they had a few hundred thousand they couldn’t put in an FDIC insured bank, they could instead just go buy a house cash, rent it and get an insurance policy

Nice, love the NDs. Agreed, I had a 135i that was a fantastic car but between parts costs and the threat of damaging an expensive motor I had to exercise restraint, that being said that thing was pretty fast out of the box. Do miss it though, 6 speed with the later, more reliable motor and a bunch of M suspension

See you next year. I’ll be in a 2001 NB LS with a catalogue of FM parts strapped to it. The best part of acquiring my NB has been the amazing support from the aftermarket, FM in particular. Way different story than hot rodding the V60R, etc...

Air Transat damned near made that happen:

Agreed. Everyone seems to like to shit on the NC and NC2 - but, having owned one and had the ability to compare it to NAs and NBs, I can certainly say it was hardly a slouch. Maybe not quite the now legendary NA or NB - but a fantastic little sports car with a free revving engine coupled to a fantastic 6 speed and

High speed. What they mean is speed. Cops and news people.. stop trying to sound smart or cool or technical. Just say speed. Speed is already a rate. Saying a rate of a rate means you’re talking about acceleration. While the Tesla had to have accelerated a some point, it looked like its acceleration was around zero

Really glad it’s at least not on snow mountain at the factory. Hopefully it’s covered in a train safe from the elements. Congrats on having it built hope it’s with you soon

Yeah, few things can motivate me enough to actually put myself through a dealership sales process, but I really had to have that one.

Right there with you. I’ve had 5 of them now (2 wrx’s and 3 n/a cars) and despite their many, many flaws, I just love them. They’re unique, and easy to work on for the most part. Nothing drives quite like a wrx. I regret selling my wagon every single day.

My 2012 wrx was the only car I ever bought new for myself.

The accelerator pedal on the Toyota 86.

yep, I was thinking maybe they replaced it after Volvo stopped using it but looks like they just get it straight from Yamaha now, with fettling by Judd.

Oh wait, I see the issue right there in your photos...it’s a ‘96 Pontiac Firebird.

I was promised a chart, and I demand a chart, one really dumb and colorful and with easy to understand graphics, even if that means the variation spread between extremes is ultimately misleading! I don’t care that this person put in a lot of effort and has shown all their work and even included multiple tests...

In 2016 I test drove a 2013 Miata Club softtop w/ 30k miles. The dealer was selling it for $16k. I figured I’d wait 5 to 10 years for them to drop into the $10-12k range, and now that same example would go for $18k at a dealer.

I keep forgetting that they’re still alive

Well, when somebody is driving the speed limit in the leftmost lane on a USA Interstate and you wish to continue your cruise at 5 MPH over the limit, what are you gonna do? Pass on the right, of course. After five cars pass on the lane right of them, some drivers get the clue, but others don’t.
