I was at Cars and Coffee once with my WRX. As you know Subarus with the old EJ engine have a very distinctive rumble. I know the noise isn’t for everyone, but I had this one guy come up to me and say that it sounds like my car is broken and that only an idiot would spend money on a car that sounds that dumb. That’s

How have I never heard of this?!?!?!? This thing is freaking sweet!

Does the new G still have portal axles?

I hate people that do this. Oh, let’s buy this really expensive car and not drive it and then sell it for twice what I paid for it. If you want to buy something pointless buy some art. It’s purpose in life is to be looked at. A car on the other is meant to be driven. It always hurts me to see these really sweet cars

I agree.

Well, I’m going to try and learn more about my car by learning to do more of my own work. I have a 2014 WRX. I want to install a new steering rack from the 2015+ STi, install some Koni shocks as well as a pair of primitive racing lift spacers. I’ve never really done any of my own work on my car, so I think it will be

With their ties to Ford, I’m wondering if it’s just a stroked version of their 2.3L Ecoboost that they have in the RS.

Came here to post this. Doesn’t really build boost until 3500rpm and once you are in boost the lag is pretty bad. That being said it makes the car fun to drive. I’m actually not a big fan of the new era of turbocharged cars. I like the drama that comes with old school turbocharging.

The first minute of this video sums it up for me.

It’s not “when” it’s “if” the new Tesla comes out.

Wow, I still can’t afford one! What a deal!

Man, I thought Subarus were supposed the be the cars with head gasket issues....

As for knocking off 20%... on normal cars, maybe. Go find an STI, Golf R, Civic R, etc slightly used and ask to buy it for 20% off. Hell, every STI I found used off-lease at dealerships were damned close to the price for a new one.

Yeah, the current engines sound like crap. I was at the US Gran Prix a couple weekends ago and was completely underwhelmed by the noise. I didn’t need any hearing protection. I’ve been to WEC races where the cars were louder and sounded better. What really drove the point home was that at COTA for the race weekend,

The weight rating for roof racks is based of the maximum wight that the rack can hold while the vehicle is in motion. The static load of most roof racks is significantly more than their rating suggests.

Sweet! I’ll be wearing my Shoey shirt as well! Looking forward to hanging out with everyone!

Soooo, my engine in my 2014 WRX failed at 38k miles earlier this year. Culprit? Spun rod bearing. This story sounds really similar to mine. I had to wind up spending over $2500 to get my engine replaced. Luckily Subaru covered most of the costs, but spending$2500 to replace an engine in a 3 year old car is still a

I’m hoping Ricciardo can make it to the top. I’m even bringing my Shoey shirt!
