God damn there are a lot of pathetic bootlickers temporarily embarrassed millionaires who feel the need to weigh in against a man getting paid what he’s worth. If he was worth X to the Steelers, but they only paid him X/4, why does it matter what amount X is?

It’s not like the Rooneys are hoarding the money for themselves. ... it’s not going to some Scrooge McDuckian vault.

And of course, if something is “allowed” it is an unquestionable good.

Le’veon turned down a $70m over 5 years, that is a fucking monster deal, a lot of people act like the Steelers offered him peanuts.

Post a picture of you burning your Nikes, racist.

The intention of the Franchise tag was to give a team some extra leverage in retaining their star players to long term deals. It was never about being able to use up all of a player’s worth without having to sign them to a long term deal at all. So yeah, it is technically allowable, but the Steelers have been acting

In case I was confused about which side to take on this thing, I’m glad a Pouncey showed up to clarify that I should be supporting Bell unconditionally.

I’m shocked that your grammar is poor.

Bell was drafted two years after that CBA was negotiated, so he didn’t really approve it. At no point has he been able to set a price for his services.

just maybe instead of being the “evil” org deadspin loves to spin on ownerships, the steelers dont want to fill their salary cap up with a RB who already has a lot of wear and tear

My proposal: one set, but with one of these giant novelty balls:

This is such a good burn.

The thing in “Dinner Party” where Michael has a tiny TV that he stands and watches for hours at a time is one of the funniest things ever to me. The whole episode is gold but that joke is the sort of thing that will stick with me for the rest of my life.

No, Pouncey just made an assumption based on...reasons...

There’s nothing in the CBA that says the player has to sign the franchise tender though. They are absolutely free to hold out. Bell is operating entirely in the bounds of the CBA as well.

Ask not for whom the Bell toils, Steelers; it’s not for thee.

It’s going to be great theatre when one of these assholes lets himself get pancaked to “stick it to Bell”, then Bell gets hurt and Kawhi’s himself the rest of the season and the Steelers don’t make the playoffs because they have Walking CTE at QB.

Fuck all these guys. Do what Bell does on the field, then talk shit.

Fuck Art Rooney II and the Steelers. Fuck Pouncey and his brother for supporting Aaron Hernandez. Get yours Le’Veon.

Ah, yes, the “he makes way more than us, and we work hard too” argument. My favorite.

......... you’re going to have to be waaaaayyyyyy more specific there.
