I got to meet Mr. Balboni back in October 2010 at the end of the Fireball Rally in Galena, IL. Naturally, he was driving a manual Balboni Edition Gallardo in the rally.

Obnoxious how?
Yay, an excuse to post shots of this Balboni Edition Gallardo from the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.
I see very few things in common with the guy who wants to ride a sportbike in a straight line fast with his thug buddies, whilst wearing shorts and a t shirt - and the guy who truly loves and tries to experience motorcycles.
You know, when I’m in my cage and I see somebody on a sportbike hauling ass up to me about to pass me, despite the fact lanesplitting is illegal where I live, and it still annoys me they are driving like a douche, I don’t try to block them or start trouble like an asshole. Why is this so hard for people? What part of…
“I want to stress one thing: these guys aren’t motorcyclists, they’re assholes on motorcycles. And there’s absolutely a difference.”
The commentator’s “wah wah” at that pathetic toss was just great. Not sure what the LAPD was thinking for most/all of this chase. When the Explorer just passes the suspects @2:45? What the hell was that?
I has the chase on in the background for an hour, because of the commentary; it was entertaining.
Dag, noodle-armed it.
Maybe?
Maybe I’m a soulless monster but I didn’t find any of this funny or entertaining or even mischievous.
That’s the question I ask myself before I go into a deep trance.
What is the sound of Velcro closing?
They are pretty dang good on my Abarth too, there’s no need to swap for HID/LED.
Because it didn’t cost enough to fix them when they broke. The dealership would much rather replace a few hundred worth of LEDs instead of pocket change worth of incandescents.
My MKVI GTI will Halogens gives me better visability than my first gen MS3 with HIDs. Those lights were a joke.
I had halogen projectors on my GT-R. The simple change to HID improved light output immensely without compromising the pattern or safety of oncoming drivers. At this point there would be no reason to not use HID projectors.
God the old sealed beams were awesome.
What about projector halogens? I’m quite happy with mine.
They need to hurry up and make projector HID lights (at a minimum) the standard for all new cars in America. I hate seeing brand new cars sold with halogen headlights. I mean they’ve made backup cameras (which I’m all for) required, so we can see behind us better, but did they forget about seeing ahead of us? Halogens…
