I would love to see a car designed where all the not-so-exciting bits are lit up:
• Illuminated fuel filler door
• Glow in the dark side-view mirrors
• Strobe-light side moulding
• Phosphorescent fender flares
• Fluorescent brake lines
• Neon windshield wipers

I’m very much okay with that.

I wish. As it’s 90% my wife’s vehicle, we went slush all the way — even though she grew up with stick. She prefers comfort over labour.

My only complaint is the weight of the rear doors — they’re fine for my wife and I, but our poor kids struggle to open or close them. I mean, they are only 4 and 6, so in a few years their arms will be massive from working with so much weight. I wish the North American models got the electronic sliding doors the

I like where your head’s at. I’d like this for a ‘13 Mazda5. I’ve added about 2" all ‘round and I’m waiting for the CVs to give way.

(Yes, I’m well aware Mazda makes the CX5 and CX9, but our van’s paid off and I still love sliding doors.)
