This was very true with my ‘02 Protege5 and07 Mazda3, but our Mazda5 is 2013 and has faired surprisingly well over its 6 years of existence. I have opted for undercoating just about every year which helps, but the body panels are pretty much free of rust. I’ve just started noticing a couple of bubbles on the roof

My statement may be a bit exaggerated. 90% of the dirt in the van is actually just dirt. I don’t see our vehicle as a holy grail that needs to be kept pristine. If something spilled, I’m quick to clean it up, but I’m not worried about sand on the floors, a few crumbs in their child seats, or dust on the dashboard.

Hello fellow 5 owner. The worst part of ours (being in Ontario, Canada) is the road salt embedded into the carpet and the back of the driver’s seat where our son’s feet like to kick to get my attention. The headliner has some greasy finger prints — those were my bad (had to rip out a lot of the interior to access a

It’s called procrastination — and I’ve mastered it.

Incredible! Although, I feel like I could’ve made a similar video of our van getting cleaned out after 6 years of hauling our children around. It’s amazing the mess two small humans can create in such a short amount of time.

Sounds like a buncha helicopter parents are getting involved in the racing scene.

Hard to make one of these look cool. But if your last name is Speed, I feel like you can make anything look cool... and save your spine to boot.

Amen. I used to live here — went to college and worked here for a total of six years. Didn’t seem so bad at the time (I was young and oblivious). But after having lived in Kitchener/Waterloo and Muskoka, Ontario, I returned to London for work last year. Yeah — I’m doing absolutely everything humanly possible to get my

London, Ontario: red lights are optional and pedestrians seem to have targets on their back.

Also, bad drivers here take offence to being called out on their... bad driving. I’ve honked at someone (and I’m talking a three-second long beep tops from a weak Mazda2 horn) for cutting me off only to have them slam on their

Heck, I’d be inclined to go for the nearly-twice-the-price Rezvani Tank over this thing.

Perhaps move from the older Mazda5 with sport trim to a newer Mazda5 with GT trim? Got your leather, your cargo space, your reliability, and you can get one for well under 20k and with an auto.

Not too worried ‘bout that fake grill — just gonna cover it up with a massive bull bar anyway.

I actually believe that lip protector to be the root source of the fire. Due to the heated debate over whether it should or shouldn’t be left on, I suspect some lip protector haters got really fired up and went to town on the poor Demon.

Fairly speedy responses! I’ll tach one on as well!

Looks like a good candidate if Meh Car Monday ever makes a comeback.

Rented a fully loaded black 2013 Mazda5 GT. The reason why this was the worst car (for me) to rent was because it reminded me of how worn out and tired my black base trim 2012 Mazda5 is. Took all of me not to swap out the leather seats, alloy wheels, cruise control, and HID headlights — don’t think Enterprise

After totalling my car, I was forced to rent a Cruze in Muskoka, Ontario... in the winter.. without winter tires. I was thankful it didn’t have winter tires because I couldn’t fathom driving it around for a month — wasn’t a fan of the ride or the interior layout. Ended up going back to Enterprise to demand a car with

I like your style.

I’ll definitely tune in when a psychotic clown shows up on the track driving an ice cream truck.
