My high school was the first in the state to have an on-site daycare for student moms. To utilize it, you had to take child development classes, spend a class period plus your lunch period with your child and get after school tutoring. It opened when I was a junior and it opened with a waiting list.

It's like she cracked open my skull and came out with one of my more memorable fever dreams.

@erinna: Fantastic. Let's set one up.

Awww, it's this whole circle of life — first I introduced the Dude to "Chinatown," then the SM/Polanski thread happened, then the Dude added "Mommie Dearest" to the queue, and then this clip popped up. I heart everything.

I tend to associate moustaches with pervs.

She's doing the one thing I wish I could — she's pulling off baggy jeans. Love it.

I think we need to have a Jezebel sewing/knitting bee. The more experienced can teach the novices, there will be a lot of booze and at the end, we'll all have some useful skills for the post-Apocolypse Jezebel Island.

I thought my kitty was rotund at ten pounds until I met a friend's girlfriend's two walking, ill-tempered throw pillows. Tabby cats are not meant to weigh 24 pounds.

@gherkinfiend: I've been looking for a decent silk slip for two years. Not rayon, not polyblend, silk. Hell, I'd settle for cotton.

Consumerist is like Playboy — I read it for the articles. The constant victim blaming, woman-hating "of course you got ripped off, you didn't save your money in a high-yield CD/mattress" pedanticness is off-putting.

@Eva_baby: I've heard it once, from one guy, but he was — off as a person in general.

It's not quite eight a.m. Why am I needing a stiff drink already?

Congratulations! I hope that your joy persists, endures and evolves for the rest of your lives.

That is an agenda this straight girl can get behind.

This is why I have a camera on me at all times. Public shaming, people. Public shaming.

@Brigit: Yeah, I know it's a wiring issue, but there's so little romance in my life that I like holding onto this little bit.

@rmric0: Matrix Reset dreams have the same feel for them — they're pretty mundane versions of my life with one really glaring detail that lodges in my head. The event will happen within about 9 months of the dream. I'll tell the Dude and he'll remember when I told him about the initial dream.

Wow, Tattler, it's like she's 17! But with a better parentage (and more resources) than 99% of the population.
