I've never understood truck pricing. You never pay anywhere near the list. I also wish they would just put the REAL price, but I think it has to do with good ol' boys bragging about what a "deal" they got. In 2010 I had a big fishing boat and needed a truck. I got a new F150 that stickered at $37,500, and WITHOUT

I also unplugged mine as soon as I figured it out. It actually sounds very boring without it, so I understand why it's there. However, instead of plugging it back in, I added an intake and a catted down pipe. Problem solved.

As a current owner of a GTI with a DSG, and owner of 10 previous manuals including a GTI, I'll say that I really like my DSG. It can feel like a manual, shift very fast, and also be ignored when you want. I put on 25k miles a year, and a lot of that is in traffic. I love that it can kind of do both. I say "kind of"

So really the only difference between our profiles is zip code. Ouch. I moved 10 miles once and my insurance when down $25/month per car. That's why comparing insurance rates in forums and comments is pretty pointless. Zip code is huge.

Fuelly.com pins the CTS-V's MPG at about 16 average. My GTI averages about 28 mixed for my 25k miles per year of driving. Current price of gas costs me $245/month. That 9 year old CTS-V would cost me $430/month. That's just fuel.

I have a 2o11 GTI Autobahn, and I pay $389.12 every 6 months ($65.85/month) with State Farm. That said, I live in a safe suburb in MN, I'm 37, and I've never had an accident in over 500k miles of driving (knocking on wood).

I noticed the same thing. Totally the wrong tire unless it's winter, and most snow tires are actually dangerous at warmer temps.

I know. I was shocked.

It's a real manual, with all 3 pedals.

Hot damn! Just scored a pic off vortex of the inside. There are 3 pedals!

Matt Farah can NOT wait to try this out.

A Golf R 400 to celebrate their 40th anniversary? Makes sense to me. I just hope they don't forget about the US market when they start selling them. If the price isn't bonkers high over the R, I'd get one in a second when I dump off my Mk6 GTI.

I wouldn't hold your breath on a 4-motion TDI wagon. Technically speaking, that was a concept, and it has not been confirmed.

I've been tuned for almost 60k miles. I never had a problem with my CPO warranty, and I've only had 1 tune related part failure — a diverter valve that I replaced for $70 and 15 minutes of effort. Of course, YMMV, and tuning does involve some "risk" with regards to warranty.

I think the LSD in the performance pack is a real LSD. The Mk6 already has the ABS module type you are referring to. I have an Mk6 tuned to 275hp and over 300 torques, and while XDS (the electronic LSD you reference) is no replacement for a mechanical one, it's actually quite good at taming the power I put to the

My Mk6 GTI Autobahn 4 door DSG was fully loaded at $31,700. For an Mk7 with the same options, it would be $31,690 if you compare feature for feature (just add the Bi-Xenons and DSG from the checkboxes). Almost identical. Plus you can add DCC, the PP, and the Driver Assistance Package, which were not options on the

Nope. :(

I didn't say anything like that. I think you need to work out some anger issues.

A couple with < 4 kids isn't alone in life and doesn't need a minivan.
