No way! Money pit! 2004 is the first year of the Touareg, and they are buggy and unreliable. I had one for two years that I got used in 2008 with about 40k miles on it, and I got an after market warranty at the same time knowing the reputation. The warranty paid for itself in less than a year (over $2k in repairs).

Starred for wife swapping party joke.

Just use a jump, but make sure you get it on video.

You only need to spend $50k on a C-class if you buy new. Buy a <1 year old CPO model for at least $10k off, and you get unlimited miles on the warranty (factory + 1 year). You can also add 2 more years to that for only $2500. I got a 2014 C300 last year with only 10k miles which was only 6 months old. I got 6.5 years

Back when I had Jeep obsession about 10 years ago... 36” tires, long arm suspension, 4:1 low range, 4.56 gears, and ARB air lockers front and rear. All pointless and thousands of dollars. Pointless because I had stock front axles that snapped like toothpicks thanks to all of the gearing and traction.

If we take the disgrace away from failure, then every failure becomes a chance to learn more.

I’ve crashed once. It was on my first bike, with only a few months of riding experience, and at an intersection. I matched most of the statistics, except I wasn’t drinking. Luckily I got by with a ruined jacket, a badly bruised and road rashed hip, some more minor road rash on one arm, and surprisingly small amount of

Thanks! I’ll have to check it out.

It doesn’t do much, SO I removed it. Looks better without it, and it didn’t do much anyway. Here it is without it:

The one on my Ducati Scrambler doesn’t. I removed it.

Thanks Obama.

I have a Scrambler, and for leaving the pavement the taller handlebars are great. If you don’t plan on doing that and want lower bars, you can just swap on the Full Throttle handle bars. They are a bit lower. Or you can go cheap and lower and just get a Renthol Ultra Low bar for $62 and about an hour of your time: http

Every time I see pics of this car, this is what I see:

Your Range Rover repairs aren’t technically free. You paid $3,900 for the privilege of getting it fixed as often as you need, plus the deductible each time. That said, $3,900 appears to be the deal of a lifetime. :)

Indeed! Far less suspicious than a vehicle with curtains.

I have the same Hiker Pro, and I haven’t found a more reliable lighter weight alternative that doesn’t have serious limitations. I’ve tried many small gravity filters. They’ve all became slow very quickly with use, and then clog easily. You can use drops, but then you have to carry water that is actively purifying,

A friend of mine had a conversion van in high school because that was the only spare car his parents had. Once he showed up top pick up his new girlfriend for a first date in it. The dad took one look at it and gave him the keys to his brand new Mustang and said, “here, take my car. I INSIST.” Side note: he married
