I feel exactly the same way about my MK6 GTI with the DSG. Sometimes I miss the stick, but I'd take the DSG every time now that I've had one. Also, the DSG burps between gears become DSG farts with a downpipe. My WOT shifts sound nasty (in a good way) with my catted downpipe.
