I don’t disagree, and she is doing exactly that. We have no idea what their expectations were of each other going into the marriage. But I suspect she may have realized that he is not as ambitious as she is. I think she much preferred the idea of being married to Jay Cutler the sportscaster rather than Jay Cutler,

Cutler made north of $120 million playing football. Broke? Possible, but unlikely. But i wonder how many men in that line of work continue breaking their bodies for a year or two longer than they should or even want to, simply because they fear becoming less desirable to their spouses once they retire. Sad to think

Sounds like Cavallari wanted Cutler to have a high-profile in the public eye so she could benefit from the “adjacent” publicity.

According to the Page Six link, Cutler realized he likes hanging out with their three kids and the animals on their Tennessee farm rather than pursuing a career in sports broadcasting. Is that really such a terrible thing? Can’t he be the stay at home parent while she pursues whatever it is she does? Or is that too

Yeah, I’m firmly in “those toilets aren’t going to scrub themselves” mode. Life rarely gives you perfect options, but if you have to pick between unpalatable options, Biden is far, far, far less unpalatable than Donald Trump is. We’re very soon going to be receiving 3,000 daily reminders that the most important asset

I’ve come to peace with Biden, in part because he is who the Democrats have selected after debates and primaries, but in part because I’m looking ahead to 2024 and the opportunity to either 1) re-elect Biden, because he’s done a good job, 2) elect or re-elect his Vice President because either Biden decided not to run

Nah, better to be ideologically pure and give a re-elected Trump get a third SCOTUS pick.

Every time you feel like writing another one of these articles, you need to read this:

But it’s about feelings!! Truth doesn’t matter only feelings!!

He is denying her accusations. Both of them are calling each other liars. How else do you deny an accusation against you? Your accuser is either mistaken or lying. You and Goldberg essentially have similar positions. Credible but impossible to determine truthfulness at this point.

(like that she “changed her story,” when she really didn’t)

I was mulling this over, as well. Outside of straight up going “Whelp, ya’ll caught me!” and chortling evilly as he bolted from the room, I don’t really understand what Jez wanted from Biden. This was pretty much the only move to be expected.

I have said this before, this whole thing seems to be in favour of the Republicans.

I’m curious - how else is someone supposed to respond when accused of something they didn’t do, other than essentially call the accuser a liar? (words he did not use)

Oh good, another article attacking the Democratic candidate based on thirty year old, unconfirmed allegations. Might as well vote third party so Trump gets another four years. That’ll show those moderates.

“I reject the false choice that my party and our nominee can’t address the allegations at hand and defeat the occupant of the White House.”

But that’s not the only point that matters from a legal perspective. There are other dimensions, like risk, that are also a part of the equation.

5% more per game. In total the women made 32% more for playing in 25% more games. Their contention is they would have made a lot more under the men’s contract. Which is true, but one thing not being acknowledged here is that the men’s contract entails a lot more direct financial risk (as evidenced by the fact that by

It wouldn’t be a Jezebel article without the passive-aggressive digs at Biden, and at white women. One of them is the Democratic nominee, by overwhelming proportions (most importantly among black voters), and the other is a demographic that you literally cannot win the election without.  But instead, let’s be angry
