She also sells the shit out of whatever she’s hawking in her commercials in a very believable, relatable way. I like her too. (PS - We’re the Millers is such an underrated comedy)

I loved Ruth Negga and her quiet, beautiful performance, but for me, that Oscar belonged to Natalie Portman. She did a Daniel Day-Lewis/Meryl Streep level of making me believe I’m watching a historical figure. If nothing else, the degree of difficulty to play Jackie is so much higher than what Emma Stone had to do.

Lena Dunham really has become unreliable and untrustworthy with every story she tells.

Jezebel has done a piss poor job of reporting this election. Laura Dern didn’t lose. She pulled her name out of contention citing an overbooked schedule before the actual vote happened. It’s very possible she could’ve won. But she’s still in her first term as an Academy Governor. Her main opponent was also only in his

Is Mariah even capable of telling coherent, entertaining stories in between songs?

When did you see Britney in Vegas? I went at the end of this April and was so unimpressed with her “dancing”. She was not doing much more than hitting her marks while lip syncing of course. But, I saw Cher the night before Britney and that may have affected my view. Cher was incredible, singing live, and honestly

That was my first thought. Statistically white women earn more than black and hispanic men.

Nope, not wanted or needed. Another lousy consequence of a Trump presidency. I fully agree about Megan Mullally. But her exceptionally funny work in Why Him? and on Children’s Hospital makes me want to see her do anything except rehash her role as Karen.

I was trying to find this article again! This was my favorite when it came out. So entirely predictable!

I’m actually surprised that a beauty blogger with a following didn’t expect more freebies from the photographer than just the last $125. And then there’s this gem the bride tweeted about choosing her wedding photos:

Athleisure and pivot. Two of my least favorite words together in one headline.

Lange is correct to a certain extent. Older established film actresses began the exodus from film to television because films/film studios have always undervalued them. But over the last few years, studios have only focused on tentpole/high concept movies to the detriment of mid-budget adult movies that used to be

And carefully should at least start with don’t drive drunk. Ever. Two families are destroyed by something so preventable.

I saw Sister Act on Broadway and thought the same thing. Patina Miller was clearly a star but I mostly wondered why bother making something like this? Thankfully I saw Miller 2 years later in her Tony winning performance in the revival of Pippin. Much better use of her talents.

I voted for Hillary in the 2008 California Primary (part of Super Tuesday that year) and it’s the one vote I truly regret. When it became clear in April/May that she couldn’t catch Obama on delegate count, she, Bill, and her surrogates became such assholes on the campaign trail I was completely embarrassed I cast my

Sadly, Americans don’t even give a crap that we stole the homes/property of innocent US citizens and imprisoned them because of their Japanese heritage. It’s almost a footnote when discussing FDR’s legacy if it’s mentioned at all.

I’m actually surprised this doesn’t happen more often considering how aggressive most paparazzi are.

And anything left over after those two belonged to Hattie McDaniel. Olivia was playing for 4th place in that film.

Wonder Woman is already the third biggest Warner Bros. movie of all time, trailing only The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. It’s also the highest-grossing live action film by a female director, which should silence any male suspicions that women can’t make a good superhero film.

Smash was my favorite hate-watching experience from the last decade. It was so fucking terrible in so many ways. And if NBC resurrected it, I would watch it again.
