It’s funny. I was watching the French Open last month and thought he was hot. But then I tried to find better pics and there aren’t any. He really doesn’t take great pics, but at least on television in action I get the appeal.
If Nadal can survive the first week where random players give him problems, it could be interesting to see how he would fare in week 2. If he can’t break through here again, then it really never will happen for him at Wimbledon anymore.
Tammy Wynette and George Jones did it better than anybody. (Yeah I’m old too)
She listed herself as a minority in a directory. That’s a little more than just a conversation. Of course it could be argued she did this long before she became aware her family history was a farce.
Let me rephrase. She does the basic choreography created for her with no energy at all. It’s such a far cry from what she used to do pre-breakdown.
Seeing Sutton Foster and the company perform Anything Goes from the 5th or 6th row (right behind Tony Bennett!) was one of the greatest theater going experiences of my life. Endless beautiful tap dancing!
Except, I finally made it to Brit’s Vegas show a few months ago. She is barely dancing through it, more like hitting her marks. If she did any less dancing, she’s just be standing there. So her excuse is pretty lousy at this point. And yes, it was all lip synced, no question.
Seeing these lists always brings up some interesting questions. For instance, Viggo Mortensen was an Oscar nominee 9 years ago and already had an accomplished film career at that point, but wasn’t asked then? It’s crazy how restrictive they’ve been in the past. Overall, this looks like a good list. It should be…
Yup, that’s the kind of answer I would’ve loved to see. I said it down in the greys, but Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Laura Dern did a masterful job promoting Big Little Lies. They told interesting personal stories about their experiences being women in Hollywood and why that project was important to them.…
Mostly, this makes me appreciate even more Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Laura Dern when they did press for Big Little Lies. They answered questions so insightfully about the difficulties being a woman in Hollywood. And Witherspoon even went out of her way to congratulate Wonder Woman on social media when it…
I think I side with fair use based on parody/satire, but I’d support a specific featured home owner (who I assume would be the picture’s owners) directly suing the blog for removal. Since Zillow doesn’t have exclusive rights to the pictures, they don’t have much of a case.
I’m guessing she’s probably seen the recent acclaim and success Reese Witherspoon and Brad Pitt have had as producers and wants to try herself. But she needs to make the smart choice that Reese and Brad both did, pick an incredible producer partner with great taste. Dede Gardner especially has done a masterful job as…
Sorry. Michelle Williams. She’s had 4 Oscar noms in the past 12 years with a few others where she was in contention.
That’s exactly what I came here to say! Go to a big company like Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, UBS, Barclays, or Morgan Stanley.
It really does come down to opportunities. Look at how many perennial white actress nominees there are (not even counting Streep): Blanchett, Winslet, Lawrence, Chastain, Williams, Cotillard, and still a few more. Viola Davis is the only non-white actress who fits that category. I still think Viola should’ve won for…
Viola won for Fences in Supporting. Supposedly that was her choice. Denzel wanted her to go Lead.
Sorry, I’ll take Ansel Elgort any day over Trump enabler Cindy Adams. She was with him on election night. Btw, I think Baby Driver looks fun.
Plays (versus musicals) really are a tough sell. I did a Broadway weekend in May, saw three plays in three nights: Doll’s House Part 2 with Laurie Metcalf and Chris Cooper, Little Foxes with Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon and Six Degrees of Separation with Allison Janney and Corey Hawkins. All big name shows with big…
I agree. And as someone who has started at the bottom in Hollywood, I appreciate that he promoted former assistants to give them a chance. It’s also not surprising with all of the money for the EPs and talent that they filled the remaining slots with super cheap inexperienced baby writers. But it’s also not surprising…
