Subscribed to AAA for one year. Got a bunch of spam mail and a potential 200% increased bill next renewal. No thank you.

You just summed up the original post:

100% agreed with you. The argument reads like “don’t compromise on size. Compromise on an off brand or whatever”

Have you ever looked at something and said, nah, this isn’t going to go the way you’re thinking?

    We’re definitely in different camps.

Indeed. 159k for a Tahoe and 200k for a Z06, which although a nice ride, is a not-wee bit too much. God knows how mouth-foamingly out of control everyone’s gonna go for ZR1/Zora versions. Maybe Covid did do widespread unnoticed brain damage to the region that deals with financial sanity.

Unless you’re left without any transportation in public-transport averse America -and, really, how many REALLY have such a problem?, you know what the best overall advice is?

I’m a minority here in the land of 70 month payment-fueled bravado and seemingly endless rich people behind every keyboard, but I can’t justify a Vette at those prices. 60 starting WAS great. 85 Base would’ve been very attractive for this version, a real giant killer for the everyman. 200k after all options and dealer

The very device you’re typing this on has most of its componentry made in China. Your clothes? Unless you’re really into the outfit game and pay Italian or such...I’m afraid I have bad news. Your TV, computers, and nearly all utensils and tools you use?...All product of your friendly neighborhood CCCP.

Out here in semi-rural RI you can see dealerships’ parking lots becoming full again. Looks like they’ll be selling below MSRP when a deluge of repos and full recession hits next year.

Most of it is solid advice. You lost me at “drugs”. Can we please have decent people write these articles?

I’m the antithesis of this car’s target -and I used to like Mazda. To me, it’s clearly mature and attempting to be sophisticated -but I can’t equate a hatch with proper sophistication. That’s GT territory, and practicality concessions need be made for that. Performance? Er I really don’t see it here, so why even

Yes, the raptor driver was passive aggressive, but the Accord had it coming. Drive like that, get the consequences. I don’t side with those condoning his/her behavior. Too many people like this out there nowadays.

I think they sold 23 of those worldwide but you can’t drive them anymore because of the curled up dash blocking the windshield and the wiring self inmolating to oblivion.

100% can believe the truck thing. In my experience 9 out of 10 times the driver will act out prickly in daily traffic situations.

You make a good point, Sire.

Inb4 some salesman posts something about free capitalism and that it’s perfectly fine to charge 50k while providing no extra value whatsoever. Been eyeballing the C8 market and they’re INSANE. As Stingray markups begin to plateau I’m really sorry for those left holding the bag.

Been there, seen that, won’t make a difference. MTA conductors making 6 figures including ghost overtime, shady contracts, the lot. The have a massive track record of misspending and corruption. More money just means more will be diverted. Their apps are a joke. I can’t be happier I left that cesspool. My average trip

Was begging for you not to say NYC. Thank The Lord you seem up to the ever sinking disaster the MTA is. People say the exodus out of NYC has to do with cost of living. I personally left because it is maddening to try to get from point A to point B. I now get to my destination in less time than it took to wait for the

It’s getting harder and harder to be into cars nowadays. Yes, we k ow how this may allow the next Elise to exist etc. But it really feels like seeing your best friend’s mom on only fans.
