    “How much?”

You couldn’t pay may to blight my driveway with this. CP at ANY price.

    You nailed it down.

Easy on the acel and brakes as well. Jerky mechanical inputs will a jerky car make. Beware of potholes. Go very slow over speed bumps. Moderate speed is best. Keep those revs low without lugging the thing. Change oil before 5k or every 3 months. Garage the thing.

So basically they will make everything in their power to keep getting your money. Late capitalism poster child insurance companies never disappoint.

Thank so much for that. Will help out a lot to flesh any common weak spots before pulling the bavarian trigger.

I love this gen. Interesting, small, and as you well put, still real BMWs. The internet has scared me witless on modern german reliability horror stories. Does this apply to these Z4s? How has your experience been? I’m a middle aged guy who drives responsibly and would only do occasional responsible power slides. I

I should bookmark this for whenever some motherland fanboi gets all cranky whenever I post modern German cars are unreliable, planned obsolescence disposable kleenex machines. I just can’t understand how people just don’t get it.

I just cracked up at “who needs front brakes?”...

    1000% Correct.

After all the current movements and perils of misinterpreting anything it’s best for us guys to literally assume NOT INTERESTED STAY AWAY until she explicitly states her intentions. Then make sure again, no matter what you think is going on. You just never know and the stories are legion.

    This.

Hoping you’re right and they’ll be back to form. I remember when BMW had the most delicious steering and chassis. We even put up with their finicky maintenance because a performance car demanded special treatment, but as you well said it’s just naked profit hunting right now. Other companies did the same SUV sellout

Good point on the mileage. They put out great power and are stingy with fuel. Yeah. The M will run circles, but it better do at its price. Other than the power, they’re really not that good to drive anymore.

Completely with you in the compact yet awesome factor...I feel the current stang is a Skosh big as well.

Agreed on the used Craiglist ones! A nice clown shoe will do.

Here’s hoping that’s the case with reliability, but honestly, what have they put out lately?

For me, BMW’s won the “Best to worst” company award this century. Started off with the brilliant E46 M3s and manic V10 M5s to end with fwd econocrap and exhaust fakery that would disgrace the KIA name and no technology development in a critical time. Even the M4 doesn't drive as well these days. Add to that their

Flagged him down. He's lucky this is the internet and that's the only consequence coming his way.

Agreed. Also, driver’s seat bolsters, both torso and thigh. The majority of these are scrunched to jello by the average 250lb biped slamming down on the things. Big pet peeve if I can’t see how bad they’ve fared.
