Articles about the crash itself indicate southbound. I wonder if the Tessa driver was in the 85S exit only and wanted to stay on 101S. That would require moving one lane to the right, which sort of aligns with the summary of the crash.

Did I miss it, or did you manage to not identify the bride by name anywhere in your story?

I don’t understand the logic for putting the blame on the motorcycle. Under California law, passing on the right is not illegal.

The entire time I was reading it, I was wishing that someone else had written it. It seemed flippant, immature, and amateur. It described a bad date and came across as a drive-by character assassination.

Not for the US, but elsewhere perhaps? An ex of mine had Dipl Engr on the identity page of his Austrian passport as part of his name. I asked and he said it was required, and that the degree was considered part of his legal name. His degree was roughly an MS in Engineering. I can’t recall what his DL showed.

I don’t understand why this is news *today*. I’m on mobile so can’t find links, but it was reported back at the time that Williams waived her salary for the reshoots while Whalberg did not.

If I recall comments in previous threads, there are pipes that prevent this.

Not to mention that she should have been cautious given that the other cars were remaining in place. If there’s a green light and the people it’s green for aren’t moving, there’s going to be a reason.

My Mazda dealer sent me emails to get my airbags replaced - on cars that don’t have the bad airbags and aren’t in any of the recalls. I called the service department to find out what the deal was and they are just telling all of their customers to get their airbags serviced to get them to call and check.

Audible alarms should be banned.

Someone stole the roof off a 92 Miata parallel parked in front of my house, on a busy street in the middle of the day. Pulled up, broke the window, unlocked the car, stole the roof.

Orange, please, yes!

Now if only they would expand it to include birds. A friend works with a companion bird rescue, and it’s horrifying. It seems like once every month or two there is an “aviary rescue” involving 60+ birds. Not to mention the endless parade of budgies and lovebirds.

Birthers generally claim that Barack Obama was born in Kenya and that the Hawaiian birth certificate is a fake.

Gal Gadot described a similar experience for her WW casting in a recent interview with one of the Jimmies. It would be interesting to hear from other performers.

I misread that as Jessica Jones and couldn’t figure out what Netflix was coming up with for season 2. Fun? Lighthearted?

My 2016 Miata’s lane departure warning was so sensitive that I had to turn it off. It was already set as ... how to describe it? As don’t bug me as possible. When I took it in for its first service, I asked about it, and they did something that made it actually work right. Might have been a software update that fixed

My regular tire place used nitrogen when I bought new tires from them about 10 years ago. No extra charge, with free top-ups. Subsequent new car purchases were converted for $5 or so per tire, again with free top-ups.

A stray click on my part recommended this post. Sadly I can’t seem to un-recommend.

California doesn’t allow that. Wait staff make state or local minimum wage, whichever is higher. I think it’s the same in several other states as well.
