Ladies, if this post resonated with you, go out and borrow a copy of Toni Weschler's "Taking Charge of Your Fertility." Or download the app called Kindara. Or just Google "fertility awareness method." No, it's not the same thing as the "rhythm method."

I don't even care. My personal privacy is nothing compared to protecting a child. Most of my emails are related to career, family and a few kind of personal health related things. But I know I've got nothing criminal to hide, so it really doesn't bother me.

That "big black guy" sure gets around!

What if the wife's not cool with you being side-pieced-up?

Dang, lady - big kudos to you for changing your mind on the issue, and well said.

I just think that even if it's not outward women-hating (I mean, who will admit that they hate women?), there is an internalized, quiet misogyny. This manifests through being completely unconcerned with the women in question, and always focusing on the fetus. I realize you recognize the hypocrisies in the pro-life

i do think there is so much misogyny in general in the pro-choice stand point, as gets pointed out in this thread. but yes i agree you also have to take into account that many pro lifers see abortion as on a par with killing a 6 month old with a hammer. how to argue them out of THAT idea, i don't know.

I like that straight people have decided that scissoring is not a thing and that it is their job to inform lesbians of this fact

I'm looking forward to reading every single one of these and doing a very, very involved write up about each of them.

So if the husband dies does the best man take over for the rest of his term? Or is that the wedding DJ?

I imagine the orgasm like a whale sound.

Ha yep, born in BC and living in Calgary. I very much agree.

Yeah. I caught my father (who is Canadian) bitching about how natives don't have to pay taxes and my response was:

Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel. Also, Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley. There's a node for "men with doctorates" but not one for women. I don't see why that would be so hard.

What's your point?

Yes! Omg I get so mad at the commenters who appear on every article acting like this is the NY Times. Dude, if you want the NY Times, just type "www.nytimes.com" in your browser. EASY! DONE!

You tell us to shut up?
"We ladies" can address any type of sexism we want. If you don't like it go read another blog.

I also found the use of "rape" off-putting here. I think it's because when I consider the implications of rape, psychological, emotional and social experiences are intrinsically tied up with the actual physical happening of the thing. Corpses can't really be "survivors" by definition.

My thought as well. Unless we're assuming that the corpse of a person is connected to where they go (if) after death, I don't see it as fitting the definition of rape. Sick, hells yeah.

Yeah, I'm not normally your ungodly-PC type o' feminist, but something about "raping" a corpse is a little offensive to me, as someone who literally moved out of my hometown to escape the social stigma of my rape. (He was entirely unpunished of course.)
