What really gets my goat about feminine hygiene products is that "necessities" (like milk, bread, produce etc) aren't taxed by the province but "non-necessities" (any processed or convenience foods) are. You know what is considered a "non-necessity"? Tampons/pads/menstrual cups. It's like I'm making a poor life choice

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. Bodies don't work like that, unless he has a spectacularly long and flexible penis.

I always thought the defining factor for sport hunting is that the animal doesn't get eaten, sort of like sport fishing. I could be wrong on that point, however. Just saying that if the animal gets eaten I can't see a moral argument against it above and beyond moral arguments against eating meat in general. I do doubt

We could argue until the cows come home about whether eating meat is moral, which isn't where I think we should go with this. But why is it any worse for them to hunt and eat those pheasant than going bowling then coming home and roasting a chicken? Even if we agree that eating meat is wrong, neither scenario is any

I would be shocked if those birds aren't eaten by someone. I am totally willing to agree that hunting for sport is some kinda cruel, however.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Is it just me or am I crazy for thinking that no one that eats meat (which is the majority of people) should be upset about Pippa's picture? So she hunts. I can't say I find it any more distasteful than someone posting a picture of their burger (also a picture of a dead animal just in case anyone was wondering). And

Fair enough! Hope tomorrow's better!

Oh I wasn't criticizing your comment at all. Just expanding from personal experience.

Agreed about a hundred times over.

Or, in the nicer version of that story, if you want everyone to come to Jesus why kill someone when they could, instead, have the rest of their life in prison with access to a chaplain and maybe will repent and become a nice Christian like you? Right, sorry, I forgot. God only forgives those people that never do

Oh I'm not disagreeing with you at all. Apologies, retractions, meetings are all very much in order. And I do expect (though perhaps not all that realistically) all of those things, just not from Erin.

There is a world of difference in the ability to consent to sex between a 14-15 year old and an 8 year old.

That is a good point. It's not Erin's job to apologize for him. Jessica however...

Yeah, and I can understand that. It can be brutal to come to terms with what actually happened. I know for me the time between thinking "I didn't really want to have that sex" and actually being able to use the words "rape" and "assault" to describe what happened was fairly long. And I was already a feminist for

Can body-snarking republican Jesus become a meme? Like, for real, please guys???

Oh I don't think she meant that it actually doesn't work with evolutionary psychology itself, just that it doesn't jive with the idea of evolutionary psychology that a lot of "nice guys", PUAs and MRAs have in mind because it justifies their misguided beliefs.

Hah! I can just see the PUAs now, freaking out about whether they should pretend their voice is high or low to best attract our "lizard brains".

It's so infuriating that people choose to put not just their own children but other people's children at risk. Herd immunity was such a nice thing! Why people gotta to and mess it up?!??

Glad that's changed for the better :)
