I suppose you could be right. Maybe you know more than Wall Street.

If you think market share is a good mechanism for valuing a company, you know even less than I expected. Here is a quote from four years ago:

Apple has been omitting ports to save expense and size on products for years. MacBook Air? iPhone? Hell, even the iMac when they dropped the floppy drive. This is just a continuation of a strategy that has made Apple the most successful tech company out there. The market spoke. It spoke loudly and clearly for decades

It does for power users. However Apple has figured out that 99% of their customers don't use ports regularly and designing a laptop for the rare power user at the (literal) expense of the much more common regular user is a poor business decision.

Well... of course. There will be articles like this as long as there are faster graphics cards coming out, which is to say well into the distant future. This is one of the few articles on this site that is actually related to the core purpose of this website.

The idea but technological breakthroughs come from someone tinkering in the garage is almost always a Silicon Valley myth. Battery breakthroughs will come from the same place but 99.9% of all other breakthroughs have come from, corporate research labs. It's not sexy, and it's not fun, but that's the accurate truth.

There has always been a strong need for better batteries. The research has been going on in earnest for decades. The idea that for me now doing a better batteries and only now is research going to kick into high gear is laughable and how incorrect it is. Battery research is just difficult. I know this because I have

Phones are 90% battery by volume so unless your wireless charging replaces the battery, phones aren't getting a lot thinner. This small port is not that big a problem.

Oh so it works for you, despite the limitations you forgot to mention, so it is best for everyone? Brilliant.

You have to be fucking kidding me.

You are clearly someone who has never experienced the slowness of wireless charging. It is slow. So slow. Also you can't use your phone easily during charging. Fix that and you have a point.

it is a mirror, not a window. The animals will see their reflection and avoid it.

You mean you like to have your phone charge slowly AND be unable to use it while it is charging? Classic Tad-bravo post, worst commenter on the site.

Glad to see Office on Mac is getting an upgrade. However I find the hideous toolbars and lack of cloud integration unpleasant enough that I switched to Google Docs and frankly it works so well I may never go back.

Did I miss the part about the expected price?

A) I provided a source that proves that, when actually studied by researchers, the VA has better outcomes. You are just repeating what you heard in the media about poor care at a few VAs. Overall they do better.

actually the VA system outperforms private healthcare in almost every single metric.

Chromebook Pixel is a really pleasant name. No snark. Totally into it.

It is great that we're getting so many options for VR and augmented reality glasses. It will be even more exciting when there's actually something we can do with them. If I were making one of these platforms, I'd be focusing very hard on good content.

Ha, you don't need to spend $100k on a sonnerie watch to hear the time when you can just get a Timex that TICKS SO LOUDLY YOU CAN HEAR EVERY MOVEMENT OF THE SECOND HAND FROM ACROSS THE ROOM.
