I like this, so NP.The Lorinser body kit is very subtle and understated, at least in comparison to some of their earlier masterpieces,

Because at the back of the truck, you simply reach down and grab the spare. With the minivan you have drag the damn thing a couple of feet to get it to you.

Clearly the disk demands more.

This is why I chock the wheels with packages.

You can look back and see if your tires are turning. Although I’ve never driven anything powerful enough to drag a trailer with frozen brakes without feeling it.

“I knew it was a mistake to release my documentary about James Spader’s attempt to make a Dragnet reboot, Spader Ma’am, this same weekend!”

Are you accusing newname of being a token...white? WTF are you even talking about?

I flew in July and some of the gate attendants prior to boarding were vocal about being tired of people giving them shit. They’re doing their job, don’t make it harder, just follow the rules, because if you pushed, they’d call airport security who would be more than happy to push back.

I don’t disagree, but at the same time your not going to a Michelin star restaurant to get full, or if you are you are an idiot. Michelin star restaurants really are more about dinner as “theater” than eating a “real” meal.

I recommend the heater! Its far more efficient and just easier to get more fuel than propane. You can definitely heat it up from zero, the heater only has a higher power draw while the heater itself gets going (5-10min) but once it is comfortably going, you only power the fan which is pretty efficient. The downside is

Think less in term of time saved versus camp enjoyed. Less time and effort faffing around with camp (especially if you change camps every day) the more time you have to enjoy cooking, hiking, BSing around the fire, etc.

A trailer has one undeniable advantage over every other setup - a place to stand and sit in bad (or even just cold) conditions. A few years ago you could get a decent tent for less than a grand. Those days are over. At $1000, it’s pretty compelling if you want to take a few kids with you. The main reason is that when you have to pack a tent, and kid stuff, and pads, and blankets and etc etc...its adds up both in volume of stuff and the time it

I know what you mean. I have fond memories of road trips with the family as a kid and particularly of being out west where the only radio you could get was weird religious/political stuff on the AM band.

The cassette player in the Grand Voyager got a looooot of work...

When I drove more for work I had the cheapest possible talk-only subscription, and it was fantastic. Great to be able to listen to the same NPR or comedy programming across multiple states. For talk, the sound quality is fine.

The bike was ~403lbs wet - little GS500F. Hitch carrier was another 100lbs.

max tongue weight 710 lbs i thought... how much did that motorcycle weigh?

These guys sent these machines so hard that they were often on two wheels, sometimes rolling over.

My niece and nephew (6 and 8) were playing around in my ‘97 Ranger, enjoying the novelty of the fold-down rumble seats in the extended cab, and were just completely flummoxed by the manual windows. Just amazed.  Then the niece’s eyes lit up as she connected the dots and said, “Oh, so that’s why they call it rolling
