I would love to relocate any rear view mirror to the dashboard. That would give me so much better unobstructed view, rather than having to duck to see underneath / around the mirror hanging from the window.

I feel the retro look is because of the use of color, the shape of the car in general. It seems to evoke a bit of Rolls-Royce-y look from certain angles. Got me thinking of the wraith r ghost series 2 - kinda making it look heavy-set but still nimble? the large diameter wheels help with this as well.
