It's still awesome?

I'd appreciate it if American Dad and (most) adult swim original programming weren't all blanket-referenced as "zany" and "non-sequitur," in the negative tone most likely directed at Family Guy. And, as someone who does like zany things when they have a purpose (e.g. I watch adult swim and American Dad) I thought the

It's intriguing to me that the earnest saxophone has become the latest musical trend that rips off the 80s. We've moved from new wave and pop influences to easy listening. I think the Hall & Oates resurgence was the stepping stone.

"I've got $19.99 for sale…for $20"

It'll go great with a California cheeseburger.

If she did TREAT YO SELF day it would probably involve purchasing an anime/bondage hybrid outfit that I am sure exists but I am too afraid to do a Google Image search for.

Polyester is one of my all-time favorite movies, and yes, Serial Mom kicks ass.

Hah I suppose. But I've seen "Jack" (I was very young). There's mediocre. There's bad. But from what I remember "Jack" may have been on par with "North," the cinematic equivalent of dog feces on the underside of your shoe.

Bill Murray's too good for this claptrap! How about the dug-up corpse of Lorenzo Music?

Yeah, it's true, though he'll always be one of my favorite people. It's not like he's churning out shitty high-profile movies (*cough*Tim Burton*cough*) so it doesn't bother me that much, but that was the example I was thinking of too. Some moments in his earlier films have scared me more than any horror movie, like

Did you learn nothing from Harold and Maude and The Golden Girls? Old people = erotic.

"Jack" was apparently directed by Francis Ford Coppola?!?! He must have lost a bet. The man had to direct Fran Drescher.

Can there be a place where this show and "Michael & Michael Have Issues" and "Stella" get renewed for second seasons? Why isn't there a Hilarious Alternative Humorists! (HAH!) channel on my television yet???

For those of you who still have Netflix accounts, S1 of "Ugly Americans" is streaming there. It's a bit inconsistent but I really am drawn to it (pun intended). Fun animation (Augenblick Studios of Wonder Showzen/Superjail! fame), entertaining plots and characters, requisite Comedy Central youngish-white-dude-slacker

BUT HE WASN'T EVEN ALIVE IN THE 1970s!!

Ah, the halcyon days before a little ditty called "Beverly Hills," when we thought Maladroit was rock bottom. I liked three or four songs on that album… "Keep Fishin'" is a genuine winner.

Um…besides "No One Else," what album do these songs come from that you're referring to? Are they B-sides? They aren't on Blue or Pinkerton proper. Oh, and I don't have a problem with "No One Else"…maybe not the most memorable but the guitar lines are crunchy and fun.

I agree with most everything you wrote Hazi! Except I liked most of the scenes with Darryl, especially the one with him and Andy at the end of the episode. It actually was -gasp!- a conversation grounded in reality that two people might have about how life fucks you over and how you can try to deal with it…a tenet of

no!!! Horrible news. Who will run Phillips Broadcasting, Formerly Duke Phillips' House of Chicken and Waffles?

Let's not forget the hilarious first episode of the classic will-they-or-won't-they sitcom "Rock of Love" in this discussion.
