Deleted my comment because it was banging my head against the wall and that’s not healthy.

I wonder who in the world thought that would impress anyone and not look like a cheap pandering move.

I found that faking confidence eventually translates into real confidence. I used to be so, so nervous going into unknown social situations or business meetings with a client and I’d pretend that I wasn’t and one day, I realized I wasn’t pretending anymore. Not having people around me know that I was frightened

I find that the “meatheads” are usually pretty supportive of anyone putting out the effort to workout.

Lemon kind of kills me. While he says some really insane things he also will be kind sometimes.

Hey, you’re still doing it and some is still better then none.

The esteem isn’t too much, at least here in the US. I do know that being an engineer is held in higher regard elsewhere in the world, closer to the lawyer & doctor professions. Plus, most of the esteem is given from fellow techies who tend to be more judgmental about those that aren’t STEM types.

You’re hilarious and I’m going to miss reading your posts here.

The world would have been a better place if he had thrived as a painter.

My fellow engineering students used to mock the communications majors the most. As far as $$$ go, a number of them put all the engineering majors to shame because they went into sales & have been super successful. Selling pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, cosmetics, software programs, etc. tends to bring in the big

I’m an engineer and know a number of engineers like him. It’s why I was/am frequently picked over “better” engineers to meet with our clients and work with other disciplines. I never looked down on a client (paying our freaking bills!) for not understanding a system we are providing for him.

I don’t know where she finds the strength. This is making me so angry and he’s not even someone I knew, let alone loved. Damn, I hope she gets some justice though it will never replace her son or the way her daughter was treated that night.

They don’t understand that this isn’t the way you are treated in the beginning. It’s gradual. When it first happens it seems completely out of the norm and you wonder WTF just happened and why... It’s not like they do this on the first date where you would know to run. It’s not like they don’t wear you down with all

You say that as if you saw me try a hoverboard. Hint, I’m old, hint, it was ugly and I screamed like a little girl.

My mom never let me go to the mall with friends when I was a teen because that’s where teens “hang out” and she was convinced teens w/o having anything to do, will inveritably cause trouble or end up knocked up. She might have had a point.

No, no, no ALL teens are falling off hoverboards seriously injuring themselves right before it spontaneously combusts. It gives me the vapors just worrying about it all day long.

Trouble is unless the Dems are over the top psycho (or mention Trump) they are ignored by the media. Even the Repubs running against Trump are ignored.

The hemline one annoys me, too. Those bottoms would never look skirt like as it does in the touched up finish, even with the rouche not tightened up. It fits tight even on the model.

I’ve met 2 women like this. One really never should have had one (in truth an abortion or a child, either one would have messed her up), the other one “found” religion and now has found a ton of guilt.

I’ve always loved, loved the name Eleanor, I thought it was pretty. Everyone I said that to just gave me the side eye. I never chose to have kids but I would have passed on it because people didn’t like it. Glad to see it come back.
