I love, love, love the Sebastian St. Cyr mysteries by CS Harris. They are regency mysteries and very well researched. They are nice, tight, well written books.

You’ll be fine. I live in California but in a rural area and my neighbors are all very conservative, deeply religious and as a rule, nice.

Yep, I’m old and fairly fit. I can drag that amount of weight. Once we did it in an class and we just needed to be taught how. I couldn’t put that kind of dead weight up over my shoulder but I definitely could lock my arms around their chest from behind and pull them.

I’d bet these same concerns were expressed when the military was integrated and it was put to the test in Korea. Over time it worked itself out though I’m sure there were some bumps in the road.
