Who cares? The kids are not at all at fault here. Yet they are the one’s sentenced. Any parent (or adult with a conscious) shouldn’t accept this.

I don’t care if the Mom’s a nutbag, or the Dad’s an ass. Put their butts in jail until it’s all settled (not really, but...) but NEVER punish the kids because of their dispute.

If it was a choice between a kid seeing me or going or juvie because they refused, as a normal sane person that cares about the kid, I would take the hit. Not have them punished.

Ah, so maybe she’s a “split the baby in half” kind of judge. Nope, when she sent the kids away she proved that she isn’t fit to judge.

Anyone but the kids. They should not be in jail no matter who the problem is.

My friend was in a nasty divorce a gazillion years ago. Her female attorney had the gall to apologize (!!!) after doing a shitty job, for believing the husband’s allegations agaisnt her and feeling sorry for him. I’m not kidding. Aaargh. I haven’t thought about this is years.

It’s funny, even when we talk about the “drug traffickers” that need to be arrested, they turn out to be the 17 year old gang member or the addict that sells a relatively small amount to support their habit. Not the people that are at the top of the pyramid.

It kills me that there are states can arrest a kid for running away. Kids don’t run away for real (I’m not talking the one night I’ll show them!!!) unless there is real problem.

So true, and it’s not just the US. Go to a tourist destination with tons of retired Americans and Canadians. Look at the stores and you will see all sorts of things that 1% of tourists could fit in.
