Oh, okay. So we, the unwashed masses, simply don't possess the intellectual cojoines to truly appreciate this brilliant proposal? Man . . . had you not taken the time to bless us with this patient explanation, us dum dums sure would have been fucked.

Found it! Fair Game, 1977. I apologize in advance for the screencap, 'cause it's definitely icky.

Hold on, you were at a screening of this movie months ago? Was it a super rough cut? I'm only asking because it would be incredibly unusual to hold on to a finished film for over a year and this doesn't release until next Summer.

I like to think that you had these at the ready. Somewhere on Pie 'oh' Pah's laptop exists a folder simply titled, "Mullets!"

Im not saying there will definitely be a sequal (because what do I really know?) but I'm curious why you think GotG isn't going to do well. I've seen an absolutely tremendous amount of excitement for the movie - from nerds and normals alike.

AfaIk, the full film hasn't leaked yet, but it sounds like maybe you've seen it, yeah? If you have . . did you love it?!?

Most of the Philly footage in 12 Monkeys is the past (asylum) stuff. It was filmed at Eastern State Penitentiary, an historic prison. They actually had (still have?) some of the set preserved; I remember seeing the black & white monitors in the corners during a junior high field trip.

I appreciate the optimism, but I think HeLa would like to disagree with you . . .

Dude, I wouldn't bother responding to this person. I started to, then took a deep breath and realized that the quickest way to get them to crawl back over to Red Pill was to ignore them.

Just a guess, but I'm pretty sure Mr. Snyder is way ahead of you. It's not exactly a novel idea; in fact it's so much the obvious direction that I'll be shocked if they don't do it.

I'm guessing you're from the UK (or at the very least, are familiar with British culture, based on your username?) We don't really make or have that distinction in the States. Or, I should say, the Skinhead culture we've got is almost always* synonymous with the White Power movement.

Question for Dirk Benedict: what/who the fuck is "Faceman"?!?

I think you a) replied to the wrong thread b) completely misunderstood the intent of Charlie Jane's prompt.

Am I the only person who gets inordinately excited whenever Kurt Acevedo pops up? It's bizarre. The same people tend to show up over and over again in Vancouver/Scy-Fy productions, so he's not unique in that respect. And, I'm not necessarily crushing on him.

To be fair, Hollywood also has a tradition of making everybody as freakishly hot as possible.

I'm almost certain its the writers' room. I'm iffy on Will Wheaton to begin with (just finished "Eureka," and I have trouble separating "swarmy in-character" Wil Wheaton from "(still kinda swarmy) real-life" Wil Wheaton,) but it feels like a lot of the material is just straight-up-falling flat.

God, I completely forgot about that quote. But, it sure-as-shit blew twelve year-old me's mind.

Yes x 100,000,000. That stupid bagel stuff is when I officially bid the AV Club's recaps of "The Leftovers" adieu.

I actually didn't hate the accent. There's an exaggerated nasal flatness that pops up in British "American" accents, and it seemed like he was purposely tamping down on that element.
