Ha, yes. I’ve met a few people who are just totally available all the time and very demanding in terms of time from the moment you meet, and don’t seem to have many friends from whatever they were doing before.

Thanks for this! I need therapy, but instead... I comment on blogs lol. I’ve systematically just removed myself from social circles because I just don’t feel comfortable existing, and that’s a pretty big red flag for a change being needed, so 😬🤞
I’ve always been this kind of person, relying on friends to make more of…
There’s something about a keyboard and internet connection that make people do weird stuff online that they’d never do in person.
My antennae start twitching every time I meet a person that decides I’m their new best friend. These people inevitably have new best friends every year or so, and don’t keep up with the old, because they burn out the relationships so quickly.
I am Jen.
I’m terribly socially anxious and have absolutely fallen into using social media as a way to broadcast my life to my friends without having to engage directly. For me it comes from overwhelm and self-consciousness? I was working a stressful and soul-sucking job and have been bitter and dealing with some shit.…
Yes, agree. Jen’s already made new friends. It’s time for the letter writer to do the same. I know it’s not easy, especially now, but it’s clearly time for that to happen regardless of whether or not she retains her friendship with Jen.
Yeah, as shitty as it is, this might be a good time for the letter writer to make some new friends who’re on the same page with them, communication-wise?
Thoughts and Prayers
In other Covid-19 news, The co-founder of conservative student group Turning Point USA, Bill Montgomery, has died from complications of the coronavirus, according to two friends of his.
From the Bolton book (don’t worry, I pirated it, didn’t give that asshole a dime) so take it as you will.
Ask yourself what sort of young person would like to put “worked closely with President Trump” on their resume for the rest of their career and it may make more sense.
He literally is posting his own fanfic about himself.
I agree, at least another year. There is no hope without a widely distributed, free vaccine. I really hate this fucking country.
I remember riding a 3yo quarter mare when I was a kid and I’m lucky to be alive!
I’d like to watch the Big Unit throw a ball at Trumplestiltskin.
... I hope they all get criminal charges. I want to see the Chainsmokers stand before a judge and explain why they kept playing when it was clearly out of control.
Probably the appropriate reaction.
A story to share about (step)Dad:
They do go together. My grandparents were Charlie Bucket poor, so they had to can food to eat during the rest of the year. My grandmother did help man get to the moon though! As an assembly line worker, she put four screws into the eingine on Apollo 11.
I believe it. My grandmother was a serious canner, the legacy of having kids in the depression and being really poor before the depression. She canned everything, and took the fruit that neighbours didn’t want and canned it too. Hot, miserable work, but people ate all damn year because of it.
