Mind if I ask which one? I hope it's not Wi Spa or Natura because those are the ones I go to...
I don't think so, at least not in LA. I've been to a lot of the spas in Koreatown and I see white/black/hispanic ladies there all the time, some with tattoos, some without. They're not treated any differently. I've yet to see an Asian woman with a tattoo at one of the spas though, so that's kind of telling.
Not unless that business had already stated publicly that people with tattoos were not welcome. Which is still discrimination, but it's part of their business creed so then people can choose whether they patronize the place or not.
Right? Let's be real, we only attend the weddings of people we don't like because it's obligatory and well, open bar. But now you can legitimately say "can't make it, but I'll def tune in to the live stream, you'll get a gift card in the mail" and they can't get mad!
I have not! I'm still obsessed with the Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney...I don't know why but sassy teenage Peter Parker just gets me.
So true. I think her jumpsuit was really the only thing I didn't like about her because seriously, yellow? They couldn't have put her in a more flattering color? Green, or charcoal would have been pretty nice and really set off her red hair.
Donatello was my man. Or my turtle, as it were. Because indeed, Raphael was a jerk, Leonardo was always trying to play dad and Mikey was annoying.
But that's something that can change if more violent video games are made with female protagonists. I don't have a problem with a guy character getting blown up. (Well I do if I die, but not with the visual aspect of it.) And if a girl gets bloodied and beat up, I'm okay with it too, as long as she comes out on top…
I don't play video games but I have friends who do, and IMO the Tomb Raider reboot isn't as horrible as it could be. I mean yes, there are gross sexist bits, but ultimately it's Lara saying "I'm so done with this shit, fuck you, I'm still alive and I'm going to win" which is nice. I do take issue with the way she…
See, that makes me sad because I adore the clothes at Anthropologie. I have never bought from them though because I vaguely remember something about a religion controversy many years back and I don't want to support any business that openly supports religious intolerance. But every time I walk by their stores I stop…
I have never eaten at a Chick-Fil-A so luckily, their tasty(?) chicken spell has no hold on me. The closest I ever came was when my mom heard about this special promotion of buy one get one free, so we went, but it turned out you had to be dressed in a cow costume to get the free sandwich...yeah, that didn't happen.
I have only recently discovered this power, and now I'm also one of those people, haha. "How many pumps of syrup is in that? Can I get just one?" First time I did that, I was shocked to discover I could actually taste flavors and not just sugar.
I'll tip for beers or simple drinks if it's a bar I frequent and I know the bartender pretty well. I figure it's for entertaining me and coming by to check up on me. But if it's just a super busy club or bar and all the person did was open a bottle? I don't see why I need to tip.
Yeah. I like to support Starbucks because they treat their employees pretty decently. That doesn't mean they can't improve in a lot of other areas, but they're not total monsters.
Yesssss. Starbucks coffee is pretty crap, but the chai is good. And green tea frapps are the best on hot summer days!
Yeah, I've cut out a lot of dairy (wooo almond and coconut milk!) but cheese...that's where I draw my line. I'm keeping cheese. I make an effort to buy ethically produced cheese though, so there's that?
"Let's love people....but not the poor or the gays and the women if they're preggers."
Luckily for me I'm a pepper and vinegar fiend and I rarely use salt when I cook my own meals, and I don't eat a lot of packaged food. The problem is when I eat out at restaurants...I just have to hope my low-sodium ways the rest of the time balance it out.
