I agree this gay went too far, and is a ridiculous asshole... but camera lenses feel “male gazey” and “rapey”? To a woman who has done “scandalous” photoshoots for many magazines and being on camera is literally her livelihood? No thanks, for the rape pseudo-comparison.

This is what happens when you tell people that if one person is offended, it’s one too many.

Well, yeah. But that’s both sane and reasonable. We’ve become neither.

Yeah, she’s being a child.

Re: your last sentence - maybe the restaurant isn’t a cult, but veganism sure seems like it is. Never had an omnivore preach pro-meat-eating to me, but vegans definitely take pride in making goddamn sure everyone around them knows they’re vegan.

Yeah, I don’t really understand why everyone’s turning on Strahan here. From what I’ve heard, it seemed like he didn’t really have much choice in the matter (I mean, he could have said ‘no’, but when the head of your network says “I’d like you to go on our flagship show full time to help shore up our numbers!” you

A thousand times, YES. She is the asshole, acting like an immature baby. He should get out now.

I’m a meat eater, and my first thought was to be glad about how much easier it will be to get a good table during busy times. Hey vegetarians, stick to your guns if it’s important. But I’ll be enjoying their fantastic food.

It’s not an altar, it’s a restaurant. They aren’t followers or faithful, they are customers. And the owners are not preaching anything, they are providing a product (in this case, vegan food) in response to a perceived demand (presumably, the concentration of people in the area interested in dining out somewhere that

Yeah, sorry, this is bullshit. For all those people who are like, “Kelly is so brave! Kelly is such a trooper!” Sorry, THIS is Kelly. All about herself and frankly a little mean. If I were Strahan I’d be like, Yeah, I’m out. Fill my chair for the next two weeks, just like you did for her. He was contractually

So what you’re saying is, they should have known that vegans are militant, fundamentalist fanatics who were gonna come after them for not committing fully to the cult, I mean “lifestyle”?

This isn't about Ronald Reagan. I'd have thought that would be obvious.

Sadly, every time I start to think vegans might be people instead of soulless sociopaths, a story like this comes along to tell me they’re not people.

but i think the problem here is that the vegans in question are militant, not that the restaurant owners eat meat.

So vegans find it ok to judge other people for how they live their lives?

Then the solution is to not support their business. I don’t feel bad at all for vegans (or anyone) who are so militant they can’t make room in their world view for an opposing thought without being a god damn asshole.

So naturally death threats ensue...because ethical.

How do you know when someone is a vegan?
