Oh yeah I forgot about this. I forget if this was a ROM feature or if it was in stock Android, but I remember reading about it a few months ago. Someone happened to find this out.

Yeah CM's nav bar customization isn't as full featured as the other ROMs. I'm running Carbon myself on a Nexus 4.

But anyone who is rooted can do this with Xposed. I'm not sure of a specific module, but I'm certain they exist. GravityBox might include it, or maybe Xblast tools?

Protip: if you're running a custom ROM that has custom navigation buttons (not the CyanogenMOD based ones though) like AOKP, SlimROM, Carbon (not sure about Paranoid Android), you can add this as a navigation button. See screenshot of mine:

One thing I have never been able to find is a good handwritten-note-taking app, and a PDF-markup app (preferably free). Papyrus is pretty good overall, and I'm going to try this new Wacom Bamboo Paper app that just came out, but what other options can you guys share?

I'm inclined to agree. Ubuntu has really changed into a average consumer friendly OS in the last few versions.

I'm finishing up a semester abroad in Denmark, where meat and beer are very important to their culture. I'm a vegetarian who doesn't drink...
Atleast Copenhagen is a nice city.

As soon as Google gets around to real VoIP calls on Android even though they gave it to iOS months ago...

Is this still a valid option after Google has stopped the XMPP aspect of Google Voice (external services accessing it)?

My bad, I interpreted that incorrectly. Partially because when I tried it, I didn't get options for 7-zip even though I do get it in the normal context menu.

I'm surprised I didn't know this. Another tip: if you drag while holding right-click instead of left click, you get the options of copy, move, or create shortcut.

Lately Chrome has been using more and more RAM, but that's the trade off for it running well (good startup times, loading times, etc)

I love how HTC put all this effort into the "Duo Camera" and then Google comes out with a free camera app that does almost the same thing on any phone, with the quality difference being relatively minimal considering there's no depth sensor.

"Sublime or die" that's my motto.

What about RAM usage; is there a browser based on Chrome that uses less RAM? Lately the Chrome "browser" process has been using a massive amount of RAM, with or without extensions loaded.

I want to follow this article, but I have a Nexus 4, so I just gave up on improving quality.

It's all about those DHCP Reservations instead of static IPs.

I have to admit that Samsung has added some nice features here and there to TouchWiz (not as nice as Motorola to the X), but it's really only a handful in comparison to the unnecessary changes they make to the system apps that are (mostly) fine the way they are.

If you have a friend selling you FireWire cables, you need new friends. Or new equipment.

Evernote just added handwriting (inking) to its mobile apps right? OneNote already has that on desktop but if it adds it to its Android app, I will die a happy man.

Does anyone know why audio/voice locking is not a bigger thing in devices? Is it harder to match voices as compared to images?
