I feel like Singles is the more mature sibling of Reality Bites with the added bonus of dreamy, dorky Campbell Scott.

There's no Woody Allen-ish character in it if that helps. Still quietly paced with a lot of jazz music but I know people who enjoyed it who typically don't like his movies. Cate Blanchett is fantastic, as are Sally Hawkins and (shockingly!) Andrew Dice Clay. Plus, five minutes of Louis C.K.!

Word. When she started, I thought she was fine but she keeps getting better and better. I sense she's going to be one of the legendary correspondents and hopefully go on to even greater things.

But what if you forgot that Kristy was bossy, Mary Anne was quiet, Stacy was a diabetic New Yorker, Claudia was an artist with perfect skin despite all the candy she ate, Dawn was a California girl who liked healthy food, Jesse was a ballet dancer, and Mallory had too many siblings?

Yeah! She was great. It's such a versatile song.
