I totally already posted this pic but I’m not sorry. I want more people to see my pretty cake

I haven’t seen Mindymoo in a couple of weeks. I hope she hasn’t quit too. STElizabeth was a sweet kid.

Give it a try. If you can cook, you can bake!

I was raised agnostic/atheist but we celebrated the secular Christmas and Easter traditions. It never caused me any confusion whatsoever. I think it sounds like you’re doing it right. ;)

Atheist here. We’ve talked about religion/Jesus/god with my son since he was probably about 4. It’s mostly a “some people believe” type of conversation. It doesn’t have to be anything in depth (it can’t be at that age) really simple answers suffice. “Some people believe an invisible person called god created Earth and

I did five dozen cupcakes for an Easter event. I originally planned to do 13x9 cakes and cut them into squares, but the first cake I made split in half when I took it out of the pan, and I wasn’t going to bake five or six more cakes to get three that held together. These are a few of the finished ones (front are green

Girl, 18 is too young to have to worry about being someone’s step-mom figure, if you’re not into that. I’m pregnant now, but at 18 babies and children were the furthest thing from my mind. Maybe someday you’ll want kids, maybe you won’t. Either way is cool but please don’t feel like you’re a bad person for not wanting

Hello Jezzies! I’m baking for tomorrow’s Easter festivities. I’m making a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and strawberry filling. I’m also going to try and make chocolate covered strawberries that look like carrots to decorate it. Hopefully it will work. I also bought a fancy tip for piping grass.

Good evening fair Jezzies! Since we’ve seem to have lost that awesome weekly food open thread, what did you make that you were proud of this week? Or, alternatively, what did you attempt to make but fucked up spectacularly?

Emily has decided that this ottoman pushed against the door is the best place to be in the world. She likes the curtains because she can play “hide-and-watch-everything-nutter-does. In the morning, it has become my duty to open the curtain so she can see outside and watch the street.

Hey Jezzies! How was your Saturday? Do anything interesting or fun, or did you have an equally good day just sitting around the house and letting the week’s crazy wash off?

Say Yes to Distress

Why is his oldest going to an out-of-state college? Does anyone in this entire family possess any common sense?

I’m done in by freshly baked bread.

That is her thinking completely- she loves cake batter and cookie dough but the baked goods? Not so much. Ironically if I buy the little two bite cupcakes she will eat the cake part but not the frosting. I find the container with all of these perfectly stripped circles of frosting, start to yell at her, shrug and eat

This is my brain on a diet:

I ran my first half-marathon today, and totally crushed it. Beat my goal time by seven minutes, and felt great afterwards. Just needed to brag about it a little bit :)

Yes! Thank you! This new car calls for a (short because I don’t drive long distances) road trip. Maybe Canadian border agents won’t harass me anymore since I won’t be in a hoopty.

Identical twin here! You really can’t force twins to develop separate identities. It mostly just happens automatically (because it’s kind of obvious to us that we are two separate people).

It seems that Paula and Helen are who they are because they’re Paula and Helen, and that’s how Paula and Helen roll. They seem
