This made me laugh!
This made me laugh!
I made sourdough crumpets this week. They turned out well enough that I ordered a set of proper crumpet rings to use instead of mason jar rings.
Performing parenthood is just as exhausting, and longer. I ended up deleting my Facebook account entirely because I just couldn’t take any more.
Almost all my coworkers are men, so when I was pregnant they told me about their wives’ experiences. Which was kind of unexpected, and more than a little weird, frankly.
When our twins were 1 and our oldest was 3, whenever we stopped at a fast food place, husband and I would joke together that we were a living PSA for birth control for any teenagers there.
You’re right. I had to scroll up to check that. Ick. I don’t even like setting my toast down on my own table.
I’d be more concerned if “mannequin” wasn’t in the label.
I think I saw the one with George Clooney, but I don't remember much about it. Any cleverness of heist movies is lost on me since I've drifted off in boredom by at least the halfway mark. But this might actually be something I'd enjoy.
I find the whole idea of mediums to be rather despicable. We say people are “dead and gone”, because it’s the gone part that is hardest to deal with. Preying on grief by pretending that the dead are not actually gone is the cruelest sort of con.
I expect he’d be on the job being paid, regardless though. And I imagine that the whole royal family image requires a certain amount of behaving like normal people. Charles didn’t, and look where that’s gotten him. If they want to have a place beyond the current queen, they need to carefully home their image.
Yes, but it is essentially her job to look put together, and she has help to do it. So it’s not exactly like me or, I expect, you having to present like that.
Ugg. I do hope you don’t have to vacation with that person ever again. That is way outside any semblance of decent behaviour.
Because they’ve given up proselytizing their religion.
Peach penguins hidden in the buffet, where the monsters I gave birth to wont eat find and eat them all.
I loved the books, and I realize I might have to surrender my citizenship for this opinion, but the Megan Follows version makes me cringe. I can't watch it it, though I doubt any other version could be any better.
I would think grade 3 is too young for it. Anne is 11 at the beginning of the books, and closer to adulthood than 11 is now. I count the Anne books as my favourites from childhood. (Along with Edward Eagers’ Half Magic.)
beyond lying about having a degree, I find it more problematic that she lied about having an architecture degree. It doesn’t sound like she’s ever tried to practise architecture, but still, this is a profession with direct public safety responsibilities. This bothers me more than if she'd claimed she had a degree in…
I read your updates every week. I have nothing to offer. Your dedication and perseverance are admirable. I hope things get easier for you.
That's amazing! I have no idea how anyone could not be into that.
Hugs. They are, though, and that's what matters.
