I didn't think the show was saying they were racist, I think it was showing how people can behave in a way that is EFFECTIVELY racist because they are governed by outside structures that privilege certain backgrounds. It was kind of subtle, IMO.

Well, I think a potential issue with assisted suicide is that people can't meaningfully consent in a system where the cost of healthcare is so prohibitively high that it can impact a person's choice of treatment. It's the same reason that organ donations don't provide monetary incentives.

Yeah, I've never had a problem with her the way others have - thought Alicia's reaction was definitely a little fan service, though. Zach's always been a little "Mary Sue" to me. I think they do a solid job of writing her as a Normal Teenager. The disconnect between her and Alicia feels real to me, too.
