I'm fond of Pimp Butters. I think he's my favorite. My husband and I use the "You gotta listen to all her stupid fucking problems" line all the time.

Especially when the boys actually tried to *solve* the problem, whereas the girls' way of "solving" it was to just blanket punish everyone in a way that only made more people angry; they bit off their noses to spite their faces instead of focusing on the actual source of the problem.

Or you could just realize that shitty people will say shitty things whether they have the internet or not, and decide not to let it impact your life anymore, and switch off the internet.

I definitely thought Cartman and his girlfriend mentioning how much happier they are now that they've stopped getting involved in internet outrage was an important (and true) message. I did the same a few years ago, and am much happier in general.

It's fictionalized, but at times it does veer close to being verite'. It's a strange book; engrossing yet boring, if that makes any sense, and the MC isn't particularly likable but you feel awful for her through the whole thing. (This is going by memory, as I read it twenty years or so ago…but it does stick with you.)

Here's the thing, though. I get what you're saying, I really do, but… Christine did what she did. She deliberately chose to do it in a dramatic fashion, live on television. She knew she was being taped and broadcast. Whatever her motives were, it's not unfair, I think, to say that maybe she *wanted* attention drawn to

The book is super-depressing, too. And the story about the real murder is equally so.

I saw that when it happened; some stations cut it off when he "pointed" the gun (I'm trying not to be too graphic in my description) but a few showed the whole thing.

Oh, man, I am so sorry to hear that.

A little song, a little dance…

Shotgun Ed!

I am so sorry for your loss.

Just in case that's a serious question… No, it does not. It's an excellent film, but the ending left me bottomed out for days.

Us too! We rewound so we could look at it again. My husband LOVES Luke Cage and always has—we watched Luke say "Sweet Christmas!" the first time in JJ like five times—so he was thrilled at that costume nod.

My husband and I just watched ep10 last night, and we're still enjoying it; it has its flaws, sure, but there's some good stuff in there, too.

Yep, me too.

Ugh, that drove me nuts. Come on, Misty! You have the fucking *pictures.*

I love that little belly on a muscle-y guy. :-) It's like…like proof that he's muscle-y because he's strong and muscle-y, not because he obsesses over what he eats and spends hours and hours in the gym.

I'd be happy with either, frankly.

Yep, the US is the only country in the world that's allowed to be seen as having problems (I'm being serious, not sarcastic to you, in case that isn't clear). And Wakanda is…well, the Wakanda stuff I've seen has depicted the people there pretty much as soulless jerks. I haven't seen much, so it's entirely possible
