Another former movie theatre worker here! I loved that job so much, but yeah…that old-popcorn smell just never came out of the work clothes, did it? I still love popcorn, but I never get that liquid butter on it; reading the label "Artificially flavored buttery-flavored oil" on the bottle ended that for me for life.

A friend of mine in high school worked at McDonalds, and she actually really liked it—they were extremely easy to work with re her schedule (for school, vacations, etc.) and they paid well above minimum wage and had all kinds of employee education benefits and programs. Plus she had fun there.

I use that line all the time, heh; not in dialogue, but I've been known to describe a character gearing up for a fight by saying they filled their hands (as opposed to grabbing things, or whatever).

I never found DiCaprio interesting or particularly attractive until The Departed. He is sex on a stick in that movie. I will watch it every time it's on (not just for him, but…he's a definite selling point).
