Crazy bread, though…

Five Guys is amazing. There aren't any where I live now and I literally cried one night because of it.

"Sorry man. I'm flattered, but I've always stayed anonymous on message boards of any kind. It's kind of a personal rule (and btw, despite being a writer, I'm not a particularly distinguished one)"

Don't forget that it's also for people who consider females to be ridiculous objects of contempt.

Sorry, kind of hard to tell these days.

That's what he claims his point was, yes. I don't think the movie actually does make that point.

But there WAS something else they could do. They could sacrifice themselves so millions of others could live. They refused, even knowing they'd die whether they made the sacrifice or not. Sorry, I thought it was vile, honestly.

Ah, good to know! Netflix keeps recommending this to me; doesn't sound like my thing.

Ha! I was going to mention Brassed Off! We rented it not long after seeing The Full Monty, because the box said it was "Hilarious!" and "Fun!"

My husband and I quote that line to each other all the time. We laughed like fools at that one.

Oh, God. Muriel's Wedding. "Hilarious! Fun!"

"WHICH YOU FUCKING ARE!"

TINA!

My husband and I rented it not long after it came out. We ended up fast-forwarding through most of it. Boring as shit, indeed.

I don't know about "great," but I liked it when I saw it and still do. Whatever faults Shyamalan has, an inability to create an atmosphere isn't one of them.

I hope no one would say such a disgusting and incorrect thing, actually.

The sad thing about NBK is that the original ending had what's-his-name, the guy who escapes prison with them, kill them and disappear into the night, which would have been a much better ending (and IMO would have redeemed the movie's "wacky kids in love killin' folks is awesome!" tone). Rather than "Aaw, they live

It's a fun movie, until the end when we're expected to applaud some selfish nihilistic teenager's decision to force humanity to die with him—not even instead of him, but with him!—because rebellion or whatever. That this is the same attitude displayed by school shooters who kill themselves doesn't seem to have crossed

I have (and love) that book! I actually watched the remake of "Little Indian, Big City" (don't recall the remake's name) just to laugh along with the review—and I did, because it was indeed awful.

Me too! And me, too! It's an absolutely beautiful film, one of my all-time favorites…but not the endless fun I'd expected, at least not once New Year's Eve happens.
