Some people in the public eye make it a point not to express any political views (or to keep their political views to non-controversial topics) because they don't want backlash, they don't want to alienate anyone, and/or they just don't think their private political beliefs are anybody's damn business.

Oh, dear. If that's the impression I gave, I apologize; I wasn't intending to say that at all! Obviously the actual Joker character is a horrifying maniac, and mailing used condoms to co-workers is nowhere near as bad as some of the things the Joker has done.

God, this is just…repugnant. I've already hated everything I've seen about his Joker, but this is beyond the pale. Joker is a lot of things, but I don't think that even in his darkest portrayals in the comics he's a sexual predator/deviant.
