It was one of the first sitcoms shown on a premium cable/movie channel—I think "Brothers" was the first(?) and Shandling came right after. If memory serves, they both aired on Wednesday nights, and they were must-sees for me.

"The Desert Inn has heart!"

He was really good as the gay neighbor in The Prince of Tides, too.

I think that was part of its coolness, but it also had some brilliantly absurd situations, IMO.

This is the theme to Garry's show, the opening theme to Garry's show
This is the music that you hear
as you watch the credits
We're almost to the part
of where I start to whistle
Then we'll watch It's Garry Shandling's Show!

Yeah, I don't get where Shandling's role in the Marvel movies was "oddball casting." I thought he worked really well in that part/those movies, especially since he was a Bad Guy, and Shandling is generally likable (or at least inoffensive/unassuming) onscreen. He seemed to be having fun, and it was fun to see him

My thought exactly.

I'm not sure you're as different from those trolls you describe as you think you are, frankly.

Oh, well, he deserves your internet suckerpunch, then! BURN THE WITCH!

Psst: Odds are very very high that they're going to be okay anyway, no matter who gets elected. The world will not end on Inauguration Day if your candidate doesn't win.

Yep. I love all those movie stars etc. who are happy to tell the rest of us what we should be doing with our money and how we should think and feel about things, knowing that they'll never have to give up any of their millions or deal with the consequences of the policies they advocate.

You're an expat, too?

You do know that in America they won't be allowed to pay people pennies for those jobs or force them to work twenty-hour shifts, right? And that historically, manufacturing jobs were considered fairly desirable? And that there are people out there who need and want jobs, even ones you consider too lowly?

No, it doesn't; I just tend to give the benefit of the doubt to people I like, is all—actually, no, I guess I tend to give most people the benefit of the doubt, because I find I'm much happier and my life is more pleasant that way.

Of course people follow false data all the time; that doesn't mean people shouldn't supply the correct data if they can. Of course a lot of things in nature have health benefits and some don't; I'm pretty sure I didn't even come close to saying that nothing natural has health benefits or vice versa.

Well, if nobody gives a fuck about the answers to the interview, why even do the interview to begin with?

It's also exciting and new…an open smile on a friendly shore!

Oh, yeah, I love that particular line of bullshit (pun intended). I never realized my body's digestive system was so poor that it would let big chunks of food pass unharmed from my stomach to my small intestine to my large intestine, my goodness!

All you need to deal with a flea problem is Borax and a vacuum. Every day/every couple of days for two weeks or so sprinkle Borax thoroughly all over your carpet (and any furniture you can vacuum), and kind of shuffle around to rub it into the mat. Let it sit for a couple of hours or even overnight, and then vacuum it

Lol, that got me, too.
