It was always at Key Food back in the aughts. Once the Key closed down (and became a Walgreens) I did have to frequently substitute something else, haven’t found another reliable green salsa that’s actually hot.  As others have pointed out, it’s not a regional thing, it’s just a minor brand.

They had Mrs. Renfros at the supermarkets in Bay Ridge, back when you were there, Allison. It was my go-to when making salmon and black bean burritos with green salsa. That said, for regular salsa I like “Green Mountain Gringo.”

It’s always been presented as a way to make extra money and some people took that to mean “full time job.”

He was also in power during a vastly different time in world history, when trust in institutions was significantly higher, the Internet had much less reach and influence, and jingoism was broadly popular in America

Now playing

I honestly cannot stand to scroll any further past people telling IonizedDare that he’s wrong, so I have no idea if anyone has addressed this - I take issue with the opening lines:

If you hold the phone pretty close to your face and wear earphones it’s actually a cinematic experience, easily as immersive as watching a big TV six feet away.  I don’t prefer it over a TV but it works well, and I can see how it would become some people’s primary method of watching.

Richard Pryor would be a different person if he was doing comedy in his prime. He would have had to be born in 1980 or later. So his sensibilities would be different.

It’s weird to me that people ask for advice on questions like this, because to me, this calls for more of a gut feeling type of answer. Only you had your experience. Only you know what you are willing to tolerate. Only you know how good the food was.

Comedy legends like Richard Pryor would’ve had a lot harder time being successful today, and that’s a fact.

And then I realized that 40% of the country will believe it.

If only we had some way of giving delivery drivers a miniaturized telephonic communications device so they could contact customers in the field if they get lost.

They could get some more footage of the guy interacting with people and see if he does that hand position all the time (i.e. with white children.) That would be a pretty objective way of figuring out whether it was incidental or not.

“Mr. Rubio, do you think it was OK for Trump to say that China should investigate the Bidens?”

Another person who re-uploaded the video argued on Twitter that the Trump campaign’s use of the Nickelback video is parody and therefore fair use

Heck, offer up Alaska to Russia in exchange for the pee tape.

First degree murder typically requires planning and second degree is intentional but “heat of the moment.” Texas calls everything different terms but it was clear that the prosecution was not arguing that she planned it.

I mean, I once went up to the wrong door and was confused when I couldn’t get in. I knocked on it and even called to my wife (who wasn’t inside because it was not our apartment). There were decorations on the door that should have tipped me off, but I really didn’t see them for a solid minute as I fumbled around and

Even if all of her assumptions were true (that it WAS her apartment and there WAS an intruder inside) her actions were still wrong. Procedure was to call for backup.  She had a police radio on her and her station was minutes away.  She was not in danger and there was no reason she had to go inside that apartment.

I mean, if the parts aren’t positively identified, then this scenario isn’t based on random parts picked up on the scene. The whole idea that it’s a Buick comes from somewhere else, either eyewitnesses or video.

So doing the same isn’t exactly a high road response.
