Thinking along those lines, I did wonder if there was some kind of selection bias at work. I don’t know those top three brands, but are they expensive? Are we seeing owners of expensive, improperly bred dogs feeding their dogs expensive food and then having negative heart results reported by their expensive vets?

A related, mild annoyance is when you get waited on by multiple people. Sometimes one person asks if you want drinks, then another takes your real order. Sometimes the second person still starts off where the first person did.

Do we think that nobody in that room or the media team didn’t notice that he got the name wrong?

But as a straight dude, I cannot for the life of me think of an example where any sort of policy or act has given me the slightest bad-faith reason to scream about oppression

What was good about the way they handled the technical breakdown is that they didn’t make Warren verbalize that she couldn’t hear the question, which would have made her look bad. The network took ownership and stopped the madness.

No, wait, I’d like to change my comment, if I may. This kind of knee-jerk immaturity serves no one. And obviously it’s more like Chuck Wad, am I not right.

More like Chunk Turd amirite.

Think about how much harder it is to create a dockable system. You need the city to dedicate space for the docks (which is bound to be unpopular, since people feel like public space is being taken away.) You need a network of docks that are conveniently situated where people want to start and end their journey, and

hildog? seriously a halfway decent president? seriously?

I mean, you could literally say that about anything bad Trump does, couldn’t you.

Yeah, they have to be sub-$200 before I’m interested.  I *will* lose them.  Just sprung for a new pair of etymotics because the two pairs I thought I had are MIA.

True, but it’s pretty questionable how some things get through moderation. They really only seem to police tone and language.  Again, I don’t think that slandering a whole group of people with dehumanizing characterizations or assertions that are obviously contrary-to-fact should get through, and they certainly don’t

they are kicking them for what they *write* on a privately owned forum

One media institution in the US that could maybe run into trouble with this sort of thing is the New York Times. They have comments pages attached to about half of their columns and stories. If you want to see what middle-aged, educated america thinks about something that’s where you could go - it’s sometimes pretty

White supremacists by their world view lack empathy, remorse, and they see those they hate as less then nothing. Yet he wants leniency.

It’s fairly common in New York, especially if the place does small plates or has a prix fixe option.

Had to go to a classical music concert in Boston and didn’t know the area.  It was the middle of winter with three feet of snow piled up everywhere, so roving about was pretty much out of the question. The only thing open late within sight of the hotel was a Cheesecake Factory, and the wait for a table was an hour and

Like if Gizmodo Media Group brought you here.

I mean, pop music has always been terrible, you can find offensively dumb hit songs from every year in the history of the record biz.

This is supposed to be the big contract where they do something to narrow the gap between adjuncts and full-timers. They made a lot of noise about “$7K or strike” for a while (meaning that they intended to double the minimum pay per course.)
