I’d take a smooth inline 6 over a rotary anyway. Rotary engines are a novelty and have a different sound but there is no advantage other than their small size. They usually have lower torque and they inevitably wear out faster, plus no gas mileage advantage. Don’t really see the point.

To be fair BMWs, MBs and Audis aren’t exactly reliable either but the interiors are top notch. My sister bought a Levante and it sounds great but the interior is noticeably cheap, too many Chrysler parts bin pieces.
