I seriously feel like all awards shows are like showing up to someone elses work event. Yeah guy giving a speech, I get it, your employs are really rad and Donna did a great job on her presentation but I don't give a shit because I don't know you, I don't work here, and where the hell is all the booze?

I didn't watch it. I don't have to, in this day and age. I can just read the annoyed coverage the next day. Then, I can congratulate myself on a well spent evening: catching up on True Detective while playing Candy Crush Saga.

Could Travolta be dyslexic? That is the only way I can see him pronouncing her name like that.

Exactly. And being a clumsy person myself, I can relate to her. Last night I was watching the Oscars and was looking at those presenting thinking "gosh, if that were me onstage, I'd probably do something really clumsy like dropping my envelope for no apparent reason." She represents all of us clumsy people and I have

I'm with you. I think Jennifer Lawrence genuinely seems like a cool girl. I love how Jezebel couldn't fawn over her enough last year, then apparently decided she wasn't so great anymore, and now it's J-law snark all the time. So how long does Lupita have before everyone decides they're over her? Who's next on the cool

Exactly. The best thing about her is that she clearly doesn't take all this so damn seriously. I mean, good lord. Now people are thinking that she takes this all so seriously that she's acting like she doesn't take it seriously? Uh..okay.

Thank you for saying that. People on here got mean really quickly.

I'm going to go against the grain a bit and start the JLaw-backlash-backlash. I don't think she's faking it at all, I think she's genuinely kind of clumsy and silly and on the subject of things being silly I think it's kind of silly that we as a society of tv-watching people tolerated a famous person being down to

Where's her long form birth certificate? Obviously she was born in Klutzylvania! She wasn't even ELIGIBLE for her Oscars!!!

Chiwetel's got nothing to worry about. I heard of him in 2002 from Dirty Pretty Things, and thought he was incredible. I've seen him appear in many films over the years, but was frustrated at seeing him as the sidekick/cop's partner/best friend, knowing he had way more talent than that. Serenity showed him off as a

Hey now, don't bash 'em until you tried 'em.

So should Steven Spielberg stop making movies to give other filmmakers a chance? Or should Meryl Streep stop taking acting roles because it's unfair to up-and-comers who want to break into the industry? Sure, it's frustrating to feel like you could do better than some of the things that get produced/published, but

And you killed all your siblings by growing faster and shading them out?

Sometimes I feel like a tree, though.

I want to know what the stock photo models said when the photographer told them what he wanted.

People expressing aloud the thought that they couldn't love a child they didn't birth surprises me the most. They don't love their nieces or nephews? Their friends' children?

That's terrible that anyone would say these horrible things. Totally wrong. But as a photographer, I kind of resent that anyone with a camera phone, who posts a bunch of photos online, is then referred to by bloggers as a "photographer" who created a "photo series." Sorry, no. This is not that. I worked very hard for

I COMPLETELY understand your sentiment. That said, it seems that they were already weighed down by those words. They remembered more than the mother did it seems. They retained those words and, it seems, knew what they meant if they could come up with instances that the mother didn't even remember.

I'm sad these girls have to hold these placards. I understand the mother's intent in bringing attention to this issue, but I wish I wish I wish there was some way these young girls did not have to hold these words, almost as though they are weighed down by their import. :-/ What do I know, though.

Until you are part of an adopted family, you don't know the crap people say to you and the kids.
