Things should get “interesting” for Hawley considering our incoming Attorney General worked on the Oklahoma City bombing...

This isn’t really a left-wing blog.

Yes, but deciding that Biden has already failed because we don’t live in the Promised Land after six days in office is profoundly dumb.

“... a step in the right direction, but not time to leap for joy just yet” describes pretty much everything that Biden will likely accomplish in the next 2 years.

Excellent explanation that can also be applied to the Iowa and New Hampshire presidential candidate selection process.

Republicans will not hesitate a millisecond to get rid of the filibuster (for stuff they haven’t already gotten rid of it for) as soon as it benefits them.

American “democracy” at its finest. With all due respect to the people of that fine state, some dude from Kentucky, who’s not the president (and who’s been at his job for far too long), should NEVER wield this much power. The filibuster needs to go. Term limits need to be added.

She’s the type of person that a transfer request would be launched for her in a home-school.

I’d personally prefer to see Trump barred from political office forever, but if we can’t manage to pull that seemingly simple outcome, splitting the GOP vote is probably the next best thing.

I am not in advertising, but if I was I would be calling the Arkansas democratic committee and BEG them to make a commercial pro bono.  There is SO much material to work with here.

Energy vampire

If it takes two people to be able to look you in the eyes while you are lying and grunting about Christ you shouldn’t be an elected official.

I’m happy for her.  I’m happy for everyone who gets to be their true self.  I still worry about her hairline.

As the dad of an out-and-proud 14 year-old, it sure does rule to live in the first era of human history where a gay kid can be themselves with less fear of reprisals than ever before (yes, I know it’s still dangerous and yes I’ve made her aware of that, but I’m still happy for her).

“The reason that I’m not ready to say this answer is because I don’t know this answer,” she said. “[I want to] keep things in my life private until they are ready to be shared with the public.”

Once I came out to a few friends and they accepted me, I wanted to go to the highest mountaintop and scream at the whole wide world.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My dad died young too, at 61, 22 years ago. It gets easier. But for now, let yourself feel all of it. Just let all the emotions flow like water.

A couple of weeks ago, many of you sent well-wishings and hugs to me for my dad, who was in the ICU due to complications from cancer treatment. They were needed, and appreciated.

What did you do to celebrate the inauguration? I made pizza for dinner, and a cake! Only the finest of wedge-shaped foods!

The spokesperson’s response is childish but utterly unsurprising.
