It’s a shame that such a military-hating liberal city like San Francisco gets such awesome displays every year. I’m sure there are plenty of people who enjoy it, but I can’t even imagine the sanctimonious bitching that must go along with it from the local activists groups.

I’ve always wanted an S-3 and turn it into a private jet of sorts.

while growing up near Lockheed Burbank, I watched the entire development of the S-3. beautiful aircraft with sweet sounding engines, you could tell when that sucker was on short final. real shame the S-3 is retired, but then again the fastest aircraft on the planet was retired 25 years ago.

So now we’ll have to rely on the E-2 to deliver presidents to carriers to declare the, uh, “accomplishment status” of particular missions? Seems wasteful.
