Formula Drift Texas today at 2:00, 3:00 Eastern. Their schedule is a bit mucked up from rain yesterday as they need to finish Pro 2. But they are on at 3:00 eastern.

Well that was a bit of a disappointment at the end. But that’s drifting for you.

Sounded like a marketing scam to me. Too many buzz words. And it’s “software operated”.

Guys, what the actual ...

There is a lot to be said for military standards.

So I think there were Jalopnik discussions years ago on what would be the best get away car. This made me think that perhaps with the antics of Mustang drivers over the last several years, the playing field has changed.

I have no connection with Indy Cars, nor Pocono, nor the progression of general racing safety. Thus I was certainly not bragging. It was just an observation. No need to elevate it to a policy statement.

If they were still at 1970's level of safety rules there probably would have been a few dead. Certainly they’ll never get it 100% safe but it is amazing a car can become a kung fu death star in front of a pack and it doesn’t clean house.

My suggested name for your project, ‘Lucky’.

Please log your charging schedule. Include how often you charge it and whether you waited for it to complete or if you plugged it in and a full battery was there waiting for you.

But this time, something different happened. Someone looked at me and asked, “Elizabeth, what’s your favorite kind of car? Like, brand?”

What a great post! More of these please and less about DC metro logistics for political groups and whining about how automotive advertisements aren’t focused towards you personally.

Well hats off to you for getting the 240 back together and not scrapping it.

I didn’t like the article. Please try again with a different topic. Maybe something about fast production cars or clever modifications. That might appeal to me.

News report as I saw it:

An additional brace inside the frame was fabricated to shore up the joint between the new and old frame pieces to prevent that being too much of a weak spot in the car’s frame.

They should have / could have designed that body line at the top of the grill so it wasn’t so pig nosed. It’s ugly. And yes, I’m an expert. Through personal experience I know ugly.

I’m not sure they took long enough. They needed to be sure to let mother nature stabilize herself. You can see after 15 months there is still an impact on the coastal water as the dirt is still kicking up in it.
