The Penske driver just didn’t get it. The Ferrari was setting up to drift turn 10a. If he wanted the Ferrari to be chase on this lap he needed to get in a little sooner and e-brake or initiate at the appropriate point.

In the dark and foreboding future somewhere on earth the Internal Combustion Engine will live on. And that’s where you’ll find me.

The frightening part is that the sport pilot didn’t understand that his airplane operates on air speed even when he’s on the ground on his takeoff roll. You’d think to fly you’d have to understand the physics of flight. But I guess not.
