Being a comics nerd I have felt this way for some time. But now that Black Panther is becoming a household name, my new favorite game at work: wait to overhear people talking comics/nerd/movie stuff and just drop, “Black Panther is better than Batman” and watch everyone’s head explode.

No worries! I tend not to watch the sport much anymore but last night I was watching with my wife while we were out at a bar and found myself ranting/commentating for the better part of an hour. So I know that you mean.

As a former pair skater (not ice dancer) who had his sister as a partner for several years. It’s something that is so non-sexual and not even a consideration. And even if it wasn’t a relative, how does that change anything?

You have my empathy, as someone who comes from a family that that would sit down a listen to Glenn Beck in the morning and watch Hannity in the evening. (Thankfully, they’ve made progress from those dark days.)

Not saying that there is a perfect answer, but just having the conversation (most importantly,on a lawmaking level) would be a great place to start.
