What’s the modern day equivalent of that? Where’s all the present day science fiction looking at the future and asking hard questions about how we might navigate potential problems, instead of just glorifying ‘80s neon and chrome and violence?

I recommend watching Hal9000's cut of the film. It’s expertly done, has much better pacing, and some tweaks that I found delightful.

(For once) they are realizing how big of a gamble that would be.

Came to post this. There is no way that his behavior and this release by Channel 4 are unrelated.

I haven’t pre-ordered anything in a long time but I totally did for Squadrons.

The mechanics of the movie make perfect sense (up to one particular point, at which you have to make an assumption) it’s just that seeing that mechanic play out visually is mind melting. Like you kinda get it, but not quite. Then when you really think about it in pieces it all comes together. I would argue that twice

you are....incorrect. Though you are on the right track with one of your guesses, but I’m not gonna spoil which. :)

Better idea: Don’t use Zoom at all.

Watched a rules explanation for the game, looks like a fun trick taking game. New art looks great. Seems like it will be a nice gateway game in the same vein as Ethnos (though that desperately need a theme)

I really like the idea on including him, with one caveat: double down on him being a chump. The dynamic of seeing a Mandalorian who follows “the way” against the Galaxy’s biggest poser “bad ass” could be great. And it would be the best way to show that Fett was nothing more than a loser/pretender while also not

While I don’t think that it was ever stated as such by the designers, I always viewed Survive: Escape from Atlantis to be about climate change as the goal is to same your meeples from an island being consumed by rising sea levels and natural disasters.

I think they had credited someone else in the suit but in the credits, IIRC, that mando is credited as Paz Vizla

I saw this one a little after I left my comment and thats a solid one

“Baby Yoda” for lack of a better term

HOLY SHIT. Having played ED, that is some impressive flying

hhahahahahahahahhahahaha.

She doesn’t deserve a moment of peace until every one of those families are reunited. Ever

This what first came to mind to me as well.

Even before aftermath, was finished. While I hesitate to call them a “couple” (given their story), we’ve had a queer character in Doctor Aphra for some time now. (Doctor Aphra #16 spoilers)

As I’ve said before, I feel terrible that anyone came away from an interaction with me feeling bad.
