How did cleaning the waffle maker compare to cleaning after regular waffles? This sounds really interesting but the difficulty of cleaning a waffle maker already makes me hesitant to use one.

I bought a set of these last time they were advertised here. They are NOT noise cancelling. Not in the way that Bose headphones work, for example. They will deliver white noise if you turn on that feature, but they’re not active noise cancelling.

It’s easy for non-parents to dismiss it as bad parenting. Because they haven’t experienced the hell of going years without sleep.  Sleep deprivation can really mess with your head.

Can’t afford one. Or any new car. And by the time EV’s are in a used market that I could afford, they’ll need new batteries which will cost more than the car is worth.

The only way to survive this car is to feature it in a YouTube series about how it financially ruins you. Or at least that’s primarily what shows up on my recommended list.  I don’t think even Hoovie would touch this thing.

Probably needs a timing belt.  Because they all did.

After many years of being a fair weather rider, I decided two years ago to go all-in and ride no matter what, no matter the weather. If I’m not hauling my kids, I’m on my VFR800.

It’s a typo and the price is supposed to be $1,700.  In that case, NP!  I have the same model Suburban and it’s worth about $800.

E39 was peak 5 series, in my opinion.

Most of these things can be done with enough research and planning. Stop being helpless.

Many people only have one car, and if it’s out of commission, then they are seriously impacted.

Unfortunately, a whole set of replacement grates, burners, and vaporizers costs more than the whole grill did. Which is surely intentional by the manufacturer. So I’ve given up having a nice one and now I buy a cheap one and throw it out every couple of years. What a shame.

I feel so sorry for paulbasa for spending 350k miles in a Chevette. But I admire the honesty, as I’d never admit to something like that.

Most shopping centers I see are intentionally designed so you have to drive past the storefront to get to the parking area.  So annoying.  And typically the in and out directions have to make left turns in front of the other.  Either the designers are idiots or they were told to make it that way.

NP.  I’d put a lift kit on it because I secretly like donks and it’s half way there already.

Truth. I have a friend with an F-450 cab-and-chassis that he put on flat bed service body. The ride will knock the fillings out of your teeth. It’s made to have an ambulance body on it or something as heavy.

Before anyone starts quoting self defense and “stand your ground” laws, these examples are all straight up murder. There isn’t even a debate over it. The perpetrators are going to prison, where they belong.

Taco Bell missed their chance this time.

The worst programmer I ever worked with had a side gig writing code for airlines.  Now I know where he worked.
